Im not a bar-head, I never popped more than two xanax, and I just got out of jail, so I only pop like half a bar and I'm good. What I want to ask is if the combination is actually dangerous. Some say its dangerous, maybe even fatal, but I take half a xanax, or maybe a whole one (never more than that), and drink sereval heinekens and I get fucked up but I feel good, never had ANYTHING go wrong. Is it really that bad?
What were you in jail for? Do you always drink Heineken, or do you sometimes drink other beers as well? Also, what kind of music do you listen to? I know these seem like random questions, but I'm pretty sure we can calculate your risk factor depending on the answers. Personally, on a scale of 1-10, I'm about an 8 with this combination, with a 10 winding up in jail if I'm in public, so I don't go out in public (often anymore) when mixing the two. Jail sucks, especially in foreign countries. At home, I send the occasional e-mail that I regret while blacked out, but I'm not violent or anything like that, so I get along fine with my family, sometimes I play my guitar too loudly when they're trying to sleep, but they're patient with me. I've never had any sort of overdose problems, but it's really good to be careful. Never mix any sort of opiates with benzos and alcohol.
It depends on how much you drink I guess. But you might blackout if you're mixing the two. Be careful :]

You sound like a fucking nut !!!! as for my opinion no if you are not taking alot of benzos you should be alright man.Don't worry about oding from mixing a half a benzo or a whole one with a night of drinking,but on the other hand even one stick of Xanax might make the risk factor go up for alchool poisoning or choking on your puke in your sleep or some other fucked up thing that puts your life at risk ? I would just be careful man. And as for blacking out sure your odds go up for you blacking out. Hey it might not be as high if you took 3 or 4 bars and then went out drinking that would probably be a 100% that you would blackout. But even taking a half a stick puts the odds up if you drink you will black out. And blacking out is not fun as most of us know and learned the hard way about it.Nothing good can come out of blacking out alot of bad shit can happen, Eather black outs wind up in the back of a cop car with your ass in handcuffs,Getting your ass kicked or jumped ,or waking up in the Emergency Room,If you are a chick getting raped,and lets not forget the worst case scenario of all is you never wake up from the black out at all becasue you ass is 6ft under. Man black outs or so so dangerous the best thing that can happen from a black out is you make a total ass out of yourself. I learned my lesson the hard way with benzos in my early 20's.
I can't decide if he's really serious about things like musical taste or if he has become as jaded and cynical as I am. It started off soundiong nice and cynical, but quickly degraded into rambling. If he is serious, god help him. If he’s entered the realm of cynicism and is playing along with people’s stupidity to see how far it will go, then I say good for him. It makes things interesting. Perhaps there is hope for him yet . . .
This is what I was getting at in my post. I was actually a little drunk & on Xanax last night when I wrote that, which blended into a little narcisstic rambling about my own experience. I do still think the risk factor theory works, it doesn't predict physical affects like overdosing, but can predict whether or not you'll wind up in jail. It works like this, choose the best answer from each category, and add the 3 numbers together to find out your chances of having a life-changing disaster while mixing benzos and alcohol in public. Anything over 10 is a 100% guarantee of pandemonium: Criminal Record- violent offenses- 5 points nonviolent offenses- 2 points no criminal record- 0 points Musical Taste- Heavy metal, drum & bass, gangsta rap - 6 points Jam bands, classic rock - 4 points Trance, hip hop- 2 points Techno, house- 3 points Jazz, pop, etc- 1 point Alcoholic Beverages- Dutch beer- 2 points Malt Liquor- 5 points Hard liquor- 6 points Hard liquor that comes in a plastic jug- 7 points Micro-brew beer- 1 point Any thoughts?
I see what you guys are saying with the blacking out and acting stupid, some of my friends have taken like 4 or more xanies along with drinking and smoking, and they were completely out of it. thats what Im saying when i say i dont pop that many. these guys end up acting like fools and dont remember anything the next day. I've been doing this for the past 4 or 5 weekends, i' ll pop 1 or 2 mg.s of alprazolam, and just drink beer casually. I have not blacked out or even got that fucked up to the point that i've seen other people get. and yeah, probably the best advice is when using benzos, stay at home or at a friends house, if your in public, you might end up doing some stupid shit and even ending up in jail. that what happened to my boy Halo, he popped bars and started burglarizing houses like an idiot. now he's a doing a year.
