Yes... PA is finally going to allow grocery stores and gas stations to sell beer. Every individual place will have to apply for a license but it's definate that it's changing.
Whaaaaaaaaat. Did y'all have beer stores, kinda like Canada? How did I not know this... I think the best states have brew thrus and daquari drive throughs...
As of current beer is only sold is beer distributors (cases) or bars and little sub shops that have licenses to sell six packs. Liquor and wine are only sold in seperate state stores.
I really wish the groceries here sold booze, it'd make life a lot easier. I often get cravings for beer or wanna pick up a little vodka or rum to mix with juice (or even some wine to drink) but getting to the Liquor Board Store (we just call 'em LB's usually) is such a pain in the ass and they close early on Sundays, blerg.
grocery stores here can sell beer, but it's 3.2 beer, not worth the money. ony liquor stores and bars can sell full strength beer. and there are not beer sales on sundays or christian holidays. WTF!?
You can buy it pretty much everywhere in NY. The gas stations and convenience stores are overpriced, though, and they only sell shitty beer like Bud and MGD. The grocery stores here do offer a pretty good selection, but when I am looking for something special I go to this store called Beers of the World, which, as the name suggests, sells only beer. You can pretty much find any beer in the world there. The place is huge.
