    So who's up for it?

I've been going for a few years now. Had planned to find another one to go to this year, to see what else is out there. However, my girlfriend has as young daughter who'd appreciate the kids area at Beautiful Days which is really quite resplendant with many activities for the young at heart. (So i'll be having fun too).

Are there festivals clashing with it or have you already bought your ticket? :)

Won't be able to make it this year I'm afraid. Alas, my brother has very rudely timed his wedding to coincide, so I'll have to brave the inbred mishapen flesh eaters of Poland instead....

Just checked out ticket prices. Can't believe they've gone up to 90 quid this year! It's getting ridiculous, far above inflation. I'm really fed up with festivals continually upping their prices. In 2003 Beautiful Days tickets cozt 65 quid. In 2002, when they were going to run Green Blade Fayre, that would have cost 30 quid. Glastonbury tickets are approaching the 150 quid mark I think. I suppose, in the case of Glasto, you get what you pay for in terms of how many huge bands you'd see which would cost far more to see individually. Plus a lot of money goes to charity. Don't get me wrong, I love Beautiful Days, it's a brilliant festival, but I'm not sure at these prices you're getting what you pay for....

It seems I might be jumping ship and checking out the wytchwood festival instead. (1st-3rd June)
It's closer, cheaper and Eliza Carthy is playing. :)

my summer is already filled with holidays...never quite get to make all the festivals i want to of the non juggling variety, or all the juggling festivals i want to either.

ill be at the british juggling convention for 5 days in april in notts, world juggling day weekend in the lakes in june, dance camp wales in july-aug for 9 days, bristol juggling festival in sept for 10 days and maybe glasto.

wish i could squeeze in beautiful days, play festival, the falmouth fire spinning gathering and the european juggling convention in athens...

too many good things and not enough time and never been the big green gathering either

I agree with Peace, £97.50 is WAY overpriced for this festival, it's not like they have any big name bands to speak of, and it's only three days long... compared to Glastonbury, this one makes a Glasto ticket seem reasonable!

It's a great little festival, but I really don't think I would pay that to go to Beautiful Days, it's just not worth it...

I guess you don't comprehend the concept of free love. You're a bit too discriminatory to call yourself a hippie :D

That's right, you have to be hip to be a hippie, right? ;)
