the Redwalls sound exactly like the beatles.

probably due in part to them being a cover band for awhile and sampling parts of a few Beatles tunes.

some of their stuff actually sounds like Dylan. great stuff, probably one of my favorite modern bands.

Check out the album Universal Blues

Uhh, pretty much every band that came out after them in the 60's sounded like them. Well, they tried to anyway.

John Lennon claimed that even the Rolling Stones tried to imitate the Beatles. But seriously, a lot of people sound a bit like the Beatles, they were a huge influence. Nirvanas "About a Girl" sounds quite like the beatles.

    I call BS

i will admit that i can everynow and then hear the beatles or the stones or any other band of that era in there, but that is based on the instrumentation more or less...

thats because kurt said he wrote it after spending a whole night listening to the beatles.

thats not true at all. The Doors, Grateful Dead, Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane none of those sound like the beatles. although Pink Floyd's first album does remind me of the beatles.

but i like the beatles later stuff much better, like Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds

Jim thought The Doors sounded like The Byrds in that movie. I don't how true that is though. I think The Monkees and The Association sound like The Beatles.

Oasis are obviously Beatle followers and soundalikes. (Not that that's a bad thing.)

I really misrepresented this thread with its title.

it should have been called "The Redwalls" or "the modern beatles"

Oasis isn't really nothing like The Beatles. It's because the lead singer has the same accent. Oasis is one of my favorite bands of all time

I cant believe noone has mentioned Peter&Gordon. This 60s duo did beatles style songs, Peter Asher is Jane Ashers brother, and I have to explain who Jane Asher is to you, then I guess you dont know yer beatles history! Gordon Waller, the other half of the duo had the good fortune to team up with Peter Asher hehehe

"I Wont Live In A World Without Love" gets airplay on oldies stations, and is a McCartney compostion the Beatles never recorded.

Jeff Lynne of ELO sounded a lot like John Lennon.
