Beards

This thread is for discussion of the growing, trimming and maintenance of beards. Consider it a mini version of the dreadlocks forum except that the thread that binds our community will not be dreadlocks, but beards.

This is how my beard is feeling right now:


I'm considering letting it grow wild and free until it gets in the way of holding down a job. I will push the boundaries as far as they will go, but I consider the right to work more important than the right to bear facial hair so I will trim it if I need to. I will continue to post regular updates on the status of my beard.

Moving on...I nominate Olhippie54 for coolest beard on Hipforums. :cheers2:

Start shaving your face and you should be able to grow one in a few years. I look forward to seeing it.

I like beards, too.

 

i dont like them for the most part. some guys can pull them off better than others. i do like goatees and van dyke type beards though...on some people

 

See, I know a lot of guys with goatees like this:


But they don't have the muscles and they look like douches. They give me hell for having a beard and they call me "Jesus". Occasionally guys pull off really cool goatees, but most of the time I think beards are a safer bet. They look more natural.

No, thats only a tiny part of it. I stopped shaving for a while out of laziness and then when I noticed that douchey guys thought my beard was lame, and cool alternative chicks were all like "oh god, you look like a teddy bear, I want to touch it"...I was all like....yea this beard is the shizla.
