Last night at my college they showed Battle Royale, a film meant to be a critique on violence. Has anyone else seen this movie and if so what did you think about it?

It was brilliant. Pretty crazy. I can't really remember why they held the competion again.

Can't say much on the violence except that I like it in the movie.

It's a fascinating film, I'd recommend anyone to watch it purely because of the originality of the idea. As a film, technically it's not that great, thematically it's all over the place, the dialogue and plot are rather weak and even the logic of the story doesn't really add up (I've heard the story is much clearer in the book). A really interesting film that could have been great.

the manga was much better in every way possible, but that didn't stop the movie from being cool. I loved the informative video they get shown with the pop idol giving them the rundown, classic
