Barefoot vs. flipflops when driving

Given those two choices when it's hot out which do you prefer.

I love and feel very comfortable driving in barefeet.

I just realized I need to change the title of this thread. Haha.... but I'm glad you got what I actually meant.

 

I was attempting to park my car once,
driving barefoot. My foot missed the brake,
and I ended up over the curb, into the woods,
ass end of the car sticking up, back towards the parking lot.
The folks looking out from the restaurant found it
more humorous than I did at the time.

I now am content using sandles.

 

My toes seem to grip the gas and brake very well when I'm barefoot. Flip flops make my feet slip. I'm best barefoot or in sneakers driving.

 

driving barefoot makes my big toe tired.

 

I always wear shoes when driving.

 

depends on the car really

my dads car, i rather wear the flip flops...i have to dorsiflex my foot too much to drive...its just really irritating

but some other cars, i can drive barefoot fine

I used to drive barefoot.... But then I ran my car into a ditch (I lost control because the road was wet and had turned into mud and had to walk 4 miles barefoot back into town because I was on a country road in the middle of a farm (this was before the time of everyone having a cell phone). In the end the car and I where fine. Now I wear at least flip flops.

 

Depends on stick or auto. I only drive sticks so i would say flipflops.

 

I know here you can get a ticket for driving barefoot...so I wear at least sandals...

I drive barefoot all the time..
I always take my flip flops because who knows when ill have to get out of my car.

 

Ummm, sandals. I own no flip flops.

I like my feet injury free. I always have something on.

 

That may be the funniest thing I've read today.

 

barefoot, when i used to wear shoes, i'd remove them before driving.

 

I don't like flipflops. It feels like I can't grip the pedal.

 

At least you can complain about how tough something as to your grandkids.
