Fair warning most of this is just ranting. Once apon a time ago, banks where the ledger book of monetary life. Which instilled in you to keep records and accounting of all transactions made in an orderly manner. But how was I to know that this system would be shot to hell later in years, to forever make exceptions to numerous rules that cannot be explained :/. Today was just the compilation of another one, that the wonderful cheaply bought software of a system created and prove that unsolved mysteries can be found in regular everday life ~ Situation was this. 7/22 - Authorization Check on Card # for X amount signed by me to complete registration. All numbers accounted for and Time stamp. 7/26 - Authorization for Charge on Card # for X amount Signed by me to complete agreement with business. Secondary Reciept with alotted Transaction numbers. This is real time and has visual printed and signed backing by both parties. Bank Account logging: 7/22 -(1) Authorization for putting "Pending" sub catagory status on Amount that was not the X amount signed to, but lower. 7/22 -(2) Authorization for putting "Pending" Sub catagory Status on amount that was not the X amount signed to, but lower still. This was the real issue, however both amounts on these added up to the Base amount of what the hotel and I agreed to and instead of looseing my patience with the system then and there i wrote it off as a system error and that it was to early to proclaim problems. However 7/29 - (2) authorization Dropped from account. 7/29 - (3) Authorization of full amount of orignal reciept agreement was charged and completed out in the system. Issue being: (1) Authorization stayed and was a total over then $400 in the account and remained in "pending" status. No problem, wake up, head to bank and explain the system error and work this out casually ~ Teller Basic Response: No, your screwed and I am not fixing this ~ It was rather long and included several things. " It's hotels fault, You are required to have hotel to send a "Letter headed Document" To us in order for this be removed from your account. And this is how things are and will be ~ Obviously this did not sit well with me right then and there and decided to proceed with pure logging information to figure this wonderful situation out and have them explain to me the contradictions that they just put up there ... Hence being the information on - (2) authorization charge: Time stamp on when it was removed from the system, authorization Number/Account that allowed this to be removed. As well as the same information on - (3) Plus more, which led into an entire fit by the bank the reps. So to cut a long story short, after pointing out that none of the transaction numbers to any of the logging in the bank actually matched the reciept and signed agreement and the bank changed things unlawfully.. Corp fixed the issue. Through all this, My major peeve on it, is the simple fact that this could have been easily fixed and dealt with and not spent over 1hr pointing out discrepencies on numbers. =/
