Seals are the most fucking useless animals ever. I doubt any animal is more due for extinction than seals (with the glaring exception of humans, of course).

 

wasps are more useless and far more annoying. lets have a club the wasp day.

Well, I'm all for seal-clubbing. Especially the small, cute ones- the cuter they are, the better they taste, I find. If we stop the clubbing, how can I have cute little seal steaks on top of my cereal in the morning? My corn pops just won't be the same...

Ah hell, maybe I'll sign the petition just for the hell of it...

I never really understood why people will have a fit over innocent animals being killed and then not have a word of protest about the millions of children being aborted. Are unborn children not defenseless as well?

 

I spent a summer working on a fishing boat on the West Coast. The goddamn seals would get into the nets and take one bite out of every fish (making them worthless). We used to shoot them with .22s.

 

Because alot of people don't think that a fetus is alive...
Or that the alternative, banning abortion, wouldn't do anything but force it back into a black market, and endanger the woman's health. And that socities that ban abortions have markedly higher crime rates 20 years down the line (see: Romania).

As for the seals... I'm a veggie, so i don't think it's right to kill anything...

 

I'm a vegetarian also...vegan actually. I have been my whole life. I think that any kind of life is precious, be it animal or human...and I believe that a fetus is alive, and there are many reasons for why so many people believe that same way.

 

Maybe you'd stop bitching if we club baby cows to death? I didn't think so....

If you're going to be for one animal's rights....be for all animals rights.

 

Wow, don't ya just love the kindness here? No, I believe it's ok, not cool, just ok for people to kill cows or chickens for food. However to murder a definceless creature for mere vanity is discusting. This is an annual "game" pretty much, and I dont like it. As for the person with the abortion view, I also do not support abortion what so ever. That is killing a life. A doctor is'nt charged with murder when he kills hundreds of babies yearly. WTF?! Please show some compassion and respect or don't show anything at all (including hostility twords others threads- if your not interested, dont get involved: simple). Peace.

 

Yes but when you are at the beach and you want to have a nice ice cream by a boating lake or drink a nice cold can of something there is nothing more annoying than a wasp trying to get at it.

Then the little bastards get the hump and think its ok to sting you. I'll tell you this when a wasp enters my house it doesn't leave alive. I will close all the windows and doors and make a point of killing it. Ha!!!

It's ok to kill cows and chickens but not seals? That makes a lot of sense.
Cows and chickens are defenseless....and people wear feathers and leather....that's for vanity....right?

cows and chickens are deliberately dumb (god made them dumb and domestically breedable specifically for consumption and vanity); seals are fairly bright pinnipeds, more closely related to humans than fowl and walking burgers.

 

they don't know when to swim away when a man is coming at them with a bloody great stick. They can't be that intelligent.

 

Seals are intelligent? I'd like to see the seals YOU know, poly.
What purpose do seals serve? If a cow and a chicken can die, so can a seal.
