I never really gave them a chance, but I know John loves them so I decided to make some the other day. They have become one of my favorite vegetables. I found this recipe online and it was so yummy. I steamed them in a paper bag in the oven, inside I threw some sliced lemon, salt, black pepper and a bay leaf. When they were done I drizzled them with olive oil and grated some Parmesan cheese. The world of Asparagus is so new to me, do you like them too? How do you make your Asparagus?
John said at dawn today when we were still tripping to his cousin How about some grilled asparagus for breakfast? haha It's MAD good
I never thought of that, not even seen or heard of it. Just asparagus in the omelette? Do you just chop them and throw them in there? The cooking world is also a new thing for me
i don't know kids, I don't like veggies that much. They're pretty bland. but you've got to eat 'em you know. I'd just rather knock 'em down as quick as possible and not worry about the iron chef in it all. Might as well be bloody grass, as far as I'm concerned.
hey, i too made an asparagus thread once. for just about the same reason too. i hated it, until i tried it. and now i love it. lol.
Yeah, I thought it was gonna be yucky. It's funny, all this time I've been having this deja vu feeling that I made this thread before, but it could've been that I read yours
My favorite omelette includes spinach, mushrooms, and cheese. Mmmm When I first started cooking I started a cook book collection. I don't mean just store bought ones. I made a book and started putting in it all of my favorite recipes that were handed down through family and the ones I found online.
I love stir fries, I was thinking earlier that I should make one soon. I've never seen asparagus in one either, maybe I just blocked the asparagus out of my life because I didnt like them...
I love omelettes, I make them all the time. I usually make them with whatever veggies I have in the fridge and cheese. Usually green peppers, onions and tomatoes. But sometimes just onions, tomatoes and cilantro. I sometimes make them with baby spinach and feta cheese, but I prefer spinach when is not at all heated. I've been collecting recipes, cooking is so fun. I always modify them to my taste, but it's always a good place to start.
You could cook it with sole, lemon juice, thyme and a bit of butter with come chopped small potatoes all wrapped up in parchment paper.
That sounds yummy. I love potatoes too. You made me google sole. I dont eat fish, but I can make them with all the rest
Over here it's called 'normai farang'. It means 'foreigner's bamboo'. Kinda funny. But people still eat it.
Most of them don't actually eat it. It's to expensive, but when they do it's usually fried in some garli, fish sauce and chilli. Generally they stick to home-grown bamboo shoots. I love it steamed with some salmon and creme fraiche.
