we are the most important "brand" of hippie! we are the future (god help us) and we need to do all we can to help spreading the word of love when we infact live in the biggest world of hate! please conversate here and get to know one another!

I really don't want to be rude or anything, but alot of people are critical of the "meat on the bones" around here.

We get it, (at least I do) but... let's not get a little too happy go lucky, there.

(ie: I guess what chris is just trying to say is to mellow out a little and contribute a little more thought to what you say).

No, but I'd say that's pretty much a given.

I mean, I've been here for four years and I know good intentions when I see them, it's just that it's kind of like the world already being here for four billion years and then going "hey, I think we can make something out of it"... But, we've been doing pretty fine here, ourselves... that and admitting that it really isn't always in our hands.

It's a strange feeling. Which is why eternal life is such a strange concept...

No bad vibes or anything, just trying to bring this sort of thing and the analytical aspects of it to your attention without being rude. I can't speak much for others, unless they agree with me, but that's just what I'm seeing.

Hippies are the strangest subculture at these times. They all want to share love and peace and get back to the 60's or something, but as soon as somebody says something that contrasts their opinion, they become sadistic bastards. And the other thing is that they are even jelous with their opinion. As soon as they meet somebody who shares their opinion they hate him because they think that they stole it from them or something... so hippies hate everybody, those who want to love and those who hate.

Don't be saying things like this on this forum. There are already enough of threads like this and all the starters get insulted... Don't try to share good wibes, keep them to your self, others wouldn't except it either.... they would just hate you for having enough of them to share

This is kind of a... mellow but off the wall place that we've got going here. I really don't like the whole sixties obsession. I think if people really want to change anything, they've got to quit living in the past and move what they have to work with into forward motion, because, in all honesty and positive criticality... it didn't work then.

So, what you're left with is a groove of culture, fashion, ideas, and uh.. well... lots of psychedelics. Now, I admit that I will collect just about anything with Jerry Garcia related to it because I believe that he deserves the credit and if it's a quality item (say his guitar straps), I tend to admire them... but it's that the fashionable aspects and people just wanting to say something like "oh yeah man... haha.. look at her shoes, she's totally a hippish hippity hip hippo hipmeister, etc..." have become overwhelming.

It's obviously pushing a modernized and hypothesized ideal further while seperating yourself from trains of thought that ultimately make you what you are and that's what I and others tend to encourage here.

People just don't get that, yes... some people are just doing it for the sake of being assholes, I'm doing it for the sake of you not having your self-esteem torn apart/not having your day ruined, and little things like that... plus, I just see a mass of confusion here over this... because it really is preaching to the choir. We're generally fine, these days, without having our conduction suggested.

I'm for good vibes as much as the next guy but this is the hip forums not the hippie forums. I personally find hippies to be about as un hip as it gets. From my experience practicality is an unturned stone to them.

No reason to whine about someone being negative or blah blah blah whatever. That's life. Deal with it... hippies.
