arrrhg!!!! i want to kill the people i work with (vent)

Well not really, but ive never been more frustrated at something in my life. Im the only white guy left where I work, and the only one with english as a first laguage, everyone else is Punjab. I eat alone at lunch becasue they wont bother speaking english. When working they just jabber back and forth, ocationaly telling me something. Then if I ask them to talk slow or repete what they said, because their english is poor and they have strong accents. Well they get pissed off at me and say they speak perfect english.

Ive picked up a bit of pungabi in the last 2 years, more than I let them know. I know enough to sort of figure out what theyre talking about, but Im not able to follow it. Modern punjabi is laced with a lot of english words, so that helps quite a bit. But the fucking bastards willl talk about me right in front of my face to each other. ill ask them about it and they just ignor me.
And I could on and on . I need to get a new job soon, or I"m gonna loose it and sucker puch one of them

One of them told me he and is wife sleep in seperate rooms. So that he can sleep good, and that she can watch the baby closer. He also gets jiggy jiggy whenever he wants it, as his wife was a gift from a friend of his fathers. her place is in cleaning the house, watching the childeren, and cooking.

He's the worst of them all, and I want to kick his ass the most out of all of them. He thinks hes gods gift to mankind, and that he knows everything. He is the most impossible person to work with I've ever met. you can not directly ask or tell to him anything, it pisses him off and he wont do it. I have to constanlyly pussy foot around him, a somewhat difficult thing to do for a guy....
Lucky for me he works in a different department. The other guys bitch about him too, but they still prefer his company to mine. hes some sort of church leader of thiers

There are tons of people I work with that I would like nothing more than to punch in the face...
And its hard to have to act in a professional manner to people who are assholes...
When people talk about me, I always look at the source...and its like I dont give a shit, look at them, they're their own mess..
You will always find people like that everywhere you go...
What i would do is fuck with them...like just start talking in whatever language it is and just mess with them and just act like you dont care and do whatever...
I worked with a bunch of shitty ass people at one time..they were shitty to me all the time, so i would just fuck with them...
Just try not to let it bother you, i know that its hard..

i've been in your boat before. funny thing is that i worked at a store before with alot of mexicans who didn't know i spoke spanish. Sure surprised the hell of them one day. They didn't really insult me as much as gross me out. the females really had an avid imagination of how i'd look in the nude. dirty minds...

but yeah, don't kill your co-workers. you gotta learn to shuttup and say "yes sir"... a lesson I learned the hard way. also, it is never good when you scream at a customer... i used to work at a fast food restaurant, explains it all

I know how you feel, heck its like a cult is going on at my workplace with the people in upper managment.

I've been bitching and complaing also, and my mom says its all about tolerence, bascicly you may not like what goes on at work but you might tolerate it, you might not like it but you try and make it so it doesn't bother you.

Otherwise if you can't tolerate it you quit, otherwise things will go bad.

For me its kinda funny because once i'm done my shift, i'm like i'm gonna quit and then when pay day comes, i'm like maybe i won't maybe i can stand a couple months more.

Maybe there a_sholes because they are part of that asian pride kinda thing where they have to have a good job and be sucessfull, and clearly there not so they try to make it seam like they are.

For example that guy with "the mail in bride" he's trying to brag how sucessfull he is that he has a wife and tries to look smart, because everyone thinks smart people are sucessful.

 

here is a sample conversation from week a ago.

me: thanks, if you ever see somthing wrong with the machine again, can you hit the emergency stop

him: fuck you you dont tell me what do, i work here longer. i older so i kow better bla blah bla.. I usually walk away and ignor him by this point. which usually pisses him off more..... the guy is just mental


He is a long time friend of the bosses. but hes just a shipper/receiver, and can barly do that. I havent the balls to ask, but I'd swear his job is a charity case.

I run a lathe and a pipe hone, he has no clue how to run eather. but he likes to to adjust the cotrolls for me when im not looking, He dose the same to every one else in the shop too.

 

Hmmm, it sorta makes some sense know i think that its because of the field of work your in, for example if you work for a intercity police force, chances are you will find a lot of coworkers who think they are superior to everyone.

Do you work at a metal work shop????? because i think the problem is in the field of mechanics and shop, your are most likely to bump into assholes who did poorly in high school, not that i accuse or anything.

who went into shop because its a job that doesn't require much intelectual work but plenty of physical work, basicly for people who are failers you are good at working with there hands.

basicly second chance,heck you might end up having convicts worker in that field you are hired just because of there strength.

now that you mention it, it seams almost imposible to tolerate it, i whould stay if the money's good, but other then that i whould look for another job.

but i don't know, i whould do it as i'm single right now and at college with all my costs brake even because i decied to stay at home.

however your situation could be diffrent i whouldn't quit if you have a family or are living on your own right now.

reality sucks even thought most people whould say thats life.

 

yeah i work in a mchine shop, and I would consider what he dose to be general labour. But pleese dont think all machining as an easy labour job for slackers and screw offs who cant think.

what I do dose not require much physicle labour at all, the machines do most of it as I cant lift 5000lb peices of metal. yes maching is loud, its dirty, noisy amd dangerous. but its a technicle job requireing verrry good math skills, hand eye coordination, organizational skill, and good common sence. stupid peopl dont last in this trade, they ether kill or maim themselves in accidents, or they wind up running a drill press on a gang line for 30 years.

I wanted to get into machanicle engineering, but i couldnt cut the grades in all my high school courses, and didnt make the course requirments for colledge. Im just not good at riting. so I barly passed my english and any riting intesive courses, dispite working my ass off. But I made honours in classes like math, physics, chemistry, and extra cred courses like auto shop, and drafting.

so I applied at trade school and took a 2 year course in metal fabricating. cam, cad, cnc prgramming and operation, and manual machining. I completed this with honours at a 9.3 wieghted grade average. (of 10). I found a job wiht in 2 weeks of finishing school. I am gona start look for another job in the same field, as its somthing I engoy doing.

oh, that lathe I run is 120 feet long, wiht 4 foot wide chuck. its 100% computer controlled, and it donst program itself

If you've been doing this for about 10yrs-15yrs, you are entilted to teach it either at a high school or university.

The benifits aren't that bad i don't know teachers in the US tend to make less then teachers in canada.

But serriously my old high school marketing teacher did that he worked in a marketing firm in US then he got his teachers certificate and started teaching the subject in canada.

no I'm still an aprentice. an teaching dosnt interest me much

i actually have really good med benifits wher I work. Its one of the reasons I havnt quit yet. 100% on prescription drugs, i just have to pay the dispensing fee. and 80% on dental. and ton of other stuff.

IE, I can go to a massage tharapist and get free back rubs, up to $300 a year.
