Getting frustrated with hair ahhh. I kno it hasnt been that long since I started dreading natural but I'm really frustrated with my slim to non-existant results. For the past 4 or 5 days I've been thinking about just lathering up with conditioner and getting a buzzzzz cut. The more I imagine it the better it seems but then I think about in a year or 2 when my dreads wuld be fully formed and I wanna go that path. What should I do to help me decide?

if theres ANY doubt in your mind, dont cut it, you'll regret it.

if it's what you really want, you will always find a way to stick it out rather than take the easy way out

    PATIENCE.

Learn it, eat it, drink it, bathe in it.

I second DancerAnnie. If there is one thing that anyone will learn from growning dreads, it is definitly patience. Unfortunitly, there is no substitute for time (I'm sure that you're very sick of hearing that. Sorry :D ). Also, you're going natural. Natural dreads, from my understanding can take a very long time to form (but in my opinion, they make the most beautiful dreadies) so, if you can stand it, just ride it out. I know that you'll have amazing dreads, you just have to learn to love the process of getting there. :D

I think you are sick of waiting and you are losing your patience. Dont shave your head whatever you do because the minute you do that you will regret it. trust me. if i were you, i would stop doing the natural method, and just back comb your hair. section it off, adn back comb them. its 10x faster, and you still get beautiful dreads. it jsut doesnt take years. it takes like months and months. Ive only had mine 7 months, and they are just starting to look really good. but you can still tell they are babies. please please please dont cut your hair!!! have a patient friend do your hair for you. peace~

how long have you not brushed your hair for? I had shitty hair for at least 6 months! now after about 2 years I still got loose ones and loose hair, etc. I once thought about cutting too cause they looked soooo shitty but I'm soooo glad I didn't! I got over 50 supercool weird, perfect, long, short, kinky, awesome dreads now and they're finally growing! it's all part of the journey, don't miss out on it! it's great!
