Now that the debates are over, and the election is fast approaching, I'm just curious....how many of you are actually registered to vote and WILL vote in the election?

Like, ohmygod, I am like registered and stuff and will vote for John Kerry because he plays a guitar. He is so hippy. He loves peace and will save the world. I am a hippy. My IQ is 32 and I wear bells. Graham Nash is a hottie. Look at my dreads, I am so groovy. Noam Chomsky and Michael Moore are my heroes because, like, they know true liberty. I would love to eat a Big Mac out of Michael Moore's rectum while steeped in patchouli and listen to a Dead bootleg. I am so groovy and I love Spencers. Democrats are my idols because they totally hate materialism and they love Government Mule and Phish. I am a true hippy and so is John Kerry. Oh my god, I love him.

Like omg! I'm totally registered and will for sure vote for Bush cause I'm like super scared of terrorists and evil-doers! They'll get us if we vote for Kerry! I don't want to die!! Kerry is a scary liberal. Bush is my hero! Yee hawwwwwww!! I love rednecks! I ain't no high class broad! Vote Bush Hell YEAH!

No wait, I'm above all that garbage, I'll vote Libertarian! I see no difference between Bush and Kerry *except that Kerry will get us out of Iraq sooner, he'll raise the minimum wage, he won't bring religion into politics, he won't overturn Roe vs. Wade, he won't start new wars, he will create jobs, he will provide healthcare to all, he will weaken the Patriot Act, he will protect the environment.
But all that DOESN"T MATTER! Vote Badnarik even though he is a criminal non-taxpaying punk.

Wow, you are really naive if you actually think Kerry will get us out of Iraq sooner and provide healthcare to all Americans. Please, that is almost too funny. Do you actually believe EVERYTHING Kerry says? Even the biggest of liberal retards don't fall for such empty rhetoric.

He will "weaken" the Patriot Act? Oh my god, how liberal of him to "weaken" it.

That's it, John Kerry is my hero. I am going to start wearing my hair like his, out of tribute.

God, what a patriot he is.

I think he'll try, if the rest of government cooperates he'll get it done. Clinton wasn't able to, but it wasn't his fault.
He'll get us out sooner than Bush, yes. Are you saying you think Bush will do better in Iraq and will get us out sooner?
Do you believe EVERYTHING Nader or Badnarik or Cobb says?
All any candidate has right now is intentions, even your candidate. That's what we have to vote on. Except Bush, he has a record which we can vote against.

He will amend it to preserve our civil liberties. Bush certainly won't.
Not everything has to be extreme the way you apparently like it.

Good luck, not just anyone can wear that hair.
I don't want him to be my hero, just my president.

Yeah, he is. I personally shun patriotism though. I don't love this country any more than I love Sweden or Canada etc. Nor am I devoted to it.

My friend and I made up a pledge:

I pledge submisson to the flag of the United Christian States of America and to the Corporate Will and Dominance of the People for which it stands. One Nation, Under Corporate Rule, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all White, Wealthy, Christian CEO's. AMEN.

I'm a registered independent and I will be voting for Kerry. Why? Very important to me is the appointment of Supreme Court Justices. I DON'T want Bush making those appointments. I don't want someone who thinks its OK to let the lines between politics and religion to blur. I mean he has as one of his main political strategists in this campaign, the former director of the Christian Coalition, Ralph Reed. Hello!!!

Other reasons I will vote Kerry:

Voted Yes on expanding hate crimes to include sexual orientation
    Voted NO on school vouchers
Voted NO on $75M for abstinence education
Voted NO on requiring schools to allow voluntary school prayer
Led effort to raise fuel efficiency standards
Voted NO on Bush's energy policy
Voted NO on drilling in Alaska's National Wildlife Refuge
Voted NO on defunding renewable and solar energy
Only Senator elected 4 times without a dime of PAC money
Voted YES on banning "soft money" contributions
Voted Yes on banning campaign donations from Unions and Corporations
Voted Yes to continue funding of the National Endowment for the Arts
Voted Yes on allowing importation of Rx drug from Canada
Voted Yes on military pay raises
Voted Yes on banning chemical weapons
    (source: http://www.issues2000.org/John_Kerry.htm)

Perhaps he's not the "perfect" candidate but for me the pros outweigh the cons when compared to Bush. I agree that the two party system sucks, but in this crucial election, I don't feel that voting for a third party candidate will accomplish what I want and that is Bush out of office. If this weren't such a crucial election, I would probably vote Nader, but, since Nader hasn't a chance in hell of winning, I will not help Bush get reelected. Unfortunately, by the time that a third party vote has a chance of making a real difference, Nader will probably be to old to run.

If only the Dems would drop their gun control bullshit I could support them 100%, but against the neocons, 90% is enough for my vote.

Now, if you aren't registered yet, I highly reccomend you register independant or undecided because there are numerous instaces popping up where Democrat registrations are being trashed.

Could you be more of an ass? And yes, I'm registered and I'm voting for someone that might actually beat Bush, instead of throwing my vote away on independents.

How can you not be voting, especially if you live in a swing state like MN? For all those who say there isn't enough difference between bush and kerry, look at abortion rights. Kerry will only appoint pro choice judges, bush will only appoint pro life judges. Hopefully that is enough motivation for you to get up and vote, luckily here in MN we have same day registration, you can register at the polls.

    Peace, Alex

Oh my God, like you might as well vote for Bush, rattie. Same result.

edit: I would like to go on record as saying that Kerry can eat a dick for being a hunter, but I will still vote for him because Bush is dangerous to children and other living creatures.

So? I honestly don't care which one gets it. I am not into politics and conspiracies. It's not like there's that much difference between the two parties. As for abortion I can see both sides of it there are times when it's best and there are times when people abuse it. There is never going to be an abortion system that is thorough enough to rule each and every case because by the time they got through a persons case the child would already be born.
