Would you consider yourself to be a Predjudiced person? If so, what is the reasoning behind it for you ?

It just seems like your making threads that have negative connotations. Like maybe you've got something on your mind or things aren't all ok with you.

Our minds use heuristics to shorten processing times.

    In other words, associations.

If you have ever associated any kind of person with any kind of behavior or anything else before it happened, you are prejudiced. Which means to "pre-judge". There are a lot of psychological studies on this, we are all prejudiced.

but would'nt the only person you'd associate a certain behaviour with,be the person who ever behaved in the way they did ? dose'nt every individual person own their own behaviour ?

That's not how our minds work, at least at the subconscious level.

Deviate is falling head long into the The Hegelian Dialectic. There is a third option. There is a fourth option.

Um no, I studied psychology and have read study after study and even participated in them. You can intellectualize yourself out of being prejudiced all day long, but these studies work on your unconscious prejudices and you would be just like everyone else.

Think about it this way. In the hunter gatherer days, if someone approached a wild animal lets say a lion and got shredded.. the people who were there would see a lion the next time and have fear and run. If a berry made someone sick, they would have a physical aversion to it from that point forward, etc.

    I was prejudiced once upon a time. I still pre-judge/make a judgement. But I don't associate any type/person with any type/behaviour.

was just thinking there bout the lion.in hunter gatherer days would'nt it be kinda the ta be expected thing anyway that every time they went out hunting, that there was possibility of being shredded by a lion.and given the fact that in them days part from nuts an grains an stuff hunting animals was also one a their main forms of food.so is'nt it more likely that even if they did see someone being shredded by a lion, that they'd just be more careful out hunting again, rather than running away through fear and coming home to their familys with no food. and would'nt that be considered more cautious about lions rather than predjudiced against them?also what if someome saw someone being shredded by a shark, but one day someone was floating in the sea.and then they saw a shark.an swam away quickly.would they have swam away quickly cos they were predjudice ta sharks? or cos it was just common sense ta do so ?cos they did'nt want ta get eaten by a shark ?
