I have just set up a personal forum for all crafters who are looking for ideas or wanting to share ideas with others.
It doesn't matter what medium you work with, all crafters are welcome.
Large or small, furniture or jewelry, sewing or welding, doesn't matter...I am interested in any and all of your creative abilities.

I personally work with wood, metal, leather, hemp, and skin art(tattoo).I am always looking for ideas and artist's.I am very creative in building and making things, yet I am very limited in the drawn arts, to the point that I can't draw a straight line with a ruler,so I am always looking for patterns.

I hope that this forum will bring the creative minds together to build a collective source of crafty ideas.

I think that would be great. I used to come to this forum very often and it seemed like that was the goal: sharing crafty ideas...but I found over the years it's just become chock full of pointless posts about nothing. A forum strictly for sharing ideas and experiences in terms of arts and crafts would be awesome! I've been a seamstress for years, and am now getting into painting and upholstering furniture. I'm not online that often, but I will definatley participate.:)

why not post your craft ideas here? The best way to get rid of those 'useless posts' is to post some that are productive....

i am learning to do macramae. with the hemp twine and what not. only problem is that its hard to buy beads because the cost of so many is pretty high and i do not really feel like going to wal-mart to buy them in bulk. any ideas where i can stock up for my art?

i make hemp jewelry and i just recently began making customized lip balm and gloss. i made so much money! since im in high school, i just brought samples into school and i got so many orders. it takes only 5-8 minutes to make 6 containers full. i think i want to start making beaded earrings soon.

lip balm? really? that sounds fun. my best friend is going to work with me on expanding from hemp jewelry to hemp bags and what not and in turn i am teaching her to sew. we are excited. and in the process we are newly vegans trying to perfect some recipies that we enjoy and thought about making cookies or something. how do you do the lip balm?

youre going to laugh at the simplicity of making lip balm...
melt beezwax in oil (i use olive oil)
    more wax the more balmy.

    yep. thats it.

vitamin E gives moisture and preservative, essential oils give scent and flavor and cheap lipstick can give it some color. to check the consistency, put it in the freezer for 2 minutes and yeah. thats it. hehe told you it was easy.. oh and when you melt it, put it in the microwave for 20 seconds then stir, then 20 seconds then stir etc. until the wax is gone. it usually only takes me a total of a minute. um.. it will set for 15 minutes and then you can use it.

i got this from a book called "D.I.Y. girl" so check it out if you want

hey...im new and the first forum I went to was this one...I draw paint and do hemp...they make such nice christmas gifts...and they are all unique.
I draw really anything I am a fashion designer and I think I could shape the world in the scence that you dont have to use non recycleable products to make a statement...I also design clothing that isnt harmful to the enviornment an doesnt use fur :( (eww..) I also make them modest so then mabe we can start to look at the inside of a women instead of her chest.
Thank you for starting this forum...its great:)

I love crafting! I am a soapmaker by trade but also make lotions and shower gels and that sort of thing.

I make lip balm, but I prefer to not use beeswax since I don't use animal products.

Another way you can make it is to replace the beeswax with mango, cocoa, shea, or olive butter (or a mix of all of them). You can experiment with the oils too. I love adding Sweet Almond and Grapeseed to mine (I use olive too). Add a little liquid stevia to sweeten it and you're all set :)
