The only IQ test I ever took was on the internet and it gave me around a 130, methinks. Maybe a 128? I dunno. It was awhile ago. I don't trust those though. Then again, I don't really trust any IQ test. They're all biased and flawed. Now I'm curious. What's yours?
For real. intelligence is relative, there are different kinds of smart. i know some people that probably couldnt do long division or tell you what the civil war was, but i bet if there was ever something like y2k, they would be the ones to survive because they are street smart i am curious to know mine though. i know im not very educated, but i think im fairly intelligent
Another thing I hate about most IQ tests is that they mostly revolve around math and patterns. Neither of which I am good with. I'm good with language and writing/words and reading. I can finish a 300 page book in about 3 1/2, 4 hours. But if you put a page of Algebra in front of me, I blank. I'm good with math up until Algebra and then all is lost. But I don't by any means consider myself stupid. I'm just better with words than numbers.
i can fingerspell while i read a book outloud, but i cant do advanced alegbra. i HATE math. I was more interested in art and theatre was fun too, also home ec was sweet.
they gave me five of them over the course of those four years, and to this day they've refused to give me the resaults of any of them. what i highly suspect is that i got wildly different scores depending one what mood i was in and how i was feeling on the day it took each of them. that's just a guess though, and even if true, doesn't really explain why they should be so highly classified. =^^= .../\...
IQ tests are fucking retarded if you are a genius you know this IQ test are just another fucking standardized test which only serve to test certain people
the last time i took an IQ test i was eight and it was for some study at UVA i think. I got 147, but i'm sure i could never get that now. i have absolutely no street smarts or common sense though, not an ounce.
if this is directed at me, jer i'm taking everything seriously right now and i seriously hate iq tests
i.q. isn't how much you know, nor even how much you can learn, but the rate at which you can assimulate new knowledge. at least that's what it's supposed to be. trouble is, while numerous test to attempt to measure it have been devised, none, to the best of my knowledge, have ever themselves passed any sort of objectively rigourous verification. not that i'm any too clear as to how a metric OF a metric of something a bit nebulous to begin with could be devised. how readily you can assimulate new knowledge only determines amount of knowledge aquirable in the context of life span, and exposure/access TO additional actual new knowledge to accumulate. this should be somewhat self evident. effectively there is no theoretical limit as to HOW MUCH ANYONE CAN learn. only variations in the RATE at which different people can learn it. =^^= .../\...
