One of the most pervasive misconceptions re buying weed (or anything illegal) is if you ask someone "are you a cop" and they say no that means they can't be a cop and you can safely buy from/sell to them. WRONG If it were true arrests for weed transactions would go WAY DOWN. Cops are allowed to lie, lie like dogs. They DO NOT have to answer truthfully. That's what being a narc is all about. And even if it were true, a lot of p.d.'s use informants, people who AREN'T cops, to make buys. Ask them if they're a cop and they say no and it'd be the truth. The absolute best way to get weed is to grow it yourself. If you can't grow it indors, take up hiking. Most people live within a hours drive or less of "the woods". If you don't want to grow your own, then accept that you run the risk of arrest every time you buy/sell. Growing your own also eliminates paying big bux for weed that turns out to be crummy, not to mention waiting hours to hook-up with someone who never shows up. People who guerilla grow rarely get busted. If the cops find your garden they will rip it up, they don't hang aroung waiting for someone to show up to water. Bottom line--don't believe anything that someone you don't know very well tells you.
whan i was arrested, the cops told me theyed drop my charges if i where to become an informant.... they said if i could take down a significant dealer, for either acid or weed, then my charges would be cleared and i would be kept safe. i said "hell no."
same thing happened here except the kid took the informant job and it was for coke and got too guys sent to jail for 10+ years and i knew them.
Horrible story at the time, hilarious now. I got busted during college when I was a freshman by the campus police -- only the campus police at the college I was attending (Stockton College in NJ) has state police officers as their campus police. They came to my place because of a complaint while I wasn't there and apparently my shelf "magically slid open" and they found a bong (that WASN'T mine) and than told my roomate that if I didn't come to the police station asap, they where putting a warrant out for my arrest and searching the whole apartment. It was most likely bullshit. But I took all my other pieces, any weed I had, and any stray baggies, and put them all in a friend's place. Then I went to the police station. Captain Fuckwad did the usual, "where do you buy your stuff?" - "who's selling?" - "bleh bleh bleh bleh" - but then, out of fuckin' nowehere, he starts talking to me about surfing and skateboarding and how he used to be just like me, bleh bleh bleh. After a lot of that bullshit he took me outside and told me to throw the bong against a brickwall. I told him it wasn't mine and that it really wasn't going to bother me -- so he grabbed it from my hand and whipped it against the wall himself and than told me I'd think twice about spending my money on that shit. I again tried to tell the officer that the bong was really not mine and that my friend, who went home for the weekend, was going to be really upset. And my friend was. Upset. Fin.
thats why you buy from a TRUSTED SOURCE... like someone you've known for years... i dont just go buying weed from any random yahoo on the streets.. i only buy from people i know really well.. or people that a friend knows really well
of course you dont buy from any random person, thats just stupid. you buy from someone known, or get referred to someone by a CLOSE friend. i thought that was common sense ;X
While they can and do lie to you, they can't have sex with you. If you insist on having sex with your buyer or seller before the deal goes down, then their testemony can't be used against you. Do this for every transaction and you will be safe from lying LEO's.
Cops can do anything that's not illegal (like have sex) and even illegal stuff (like smoke weed with you), in the course of an investigation.
A lot of these threads are getting old, but I'll take something by rangerdanger than another "omg i smoked this w33d and im like so stoned ill b trippin 4 life" that have been circulating lately. I can't take advantage of ranger's advice at the moment, but when I do I'll sure as hell be thankful for his insight.
