I like gothic architecture, renaissance, baroque & rococo, and (neo-)classical. I also like those chaotic narrow lanes in which the houses seem just jumbled together, on top and under each other, with lots of archways and balconies. Old mediterranean cities have this, especially.

    Straight-lines-in-concrete-and-glass is the devil.

When thinking outside Western culture history, most cultures that have produced monumental buildings (temples, palaces, communion halls, etcetera) have made some very nice things. I like Indian temple-complexes, Meso-American pyramids and statues, Near-Eastern Ziggurats...

    So much to see. :)

I like gothic cathedrals, Russian buildings, The Taj Mahal, anything M.C. Esher designed (too bad not all of his drawings couldn't be made real, eh?), and ancient Greek buildings. Oh yeah, and Venice.

it was a broken link for me... but i like lots of baroque stuff... stuff jumbled together and very detailed and interesting... :) i like the colorful onion domes of moscow.

but i also like neoclassical stuff as well, and post-modern... very refreshing and so balanced and nice, not so chaotic as baroque and roccoco, but pleasant.
