I've been pondering moving to Arcata for a good year now, to live among the redwoods. I was just wondering is it easy being vacrant in Humboldt?

Vacrant? Is that like vagrant? I imagine it's becoming harder since there's no place specifically set up to have a free shower and laundry for the needy anymore (budget cuts), and the APD are busting up camps and handing out tickets like it's candy on Halloween. But.... if the temp drops below freezing on a weekday a church might open up and Eureka has the Mission shelter...great place if you're a strung out tweeker...dunno if anyone else would go there by choice...group showers, insane rules and all. I've met many a homeless person that would rather freeze to death. The spanging/ sign flying is so worn out that you'd be lucky to get a dollar a day.
Dunno much else that would be of interest. There's recycling?
