Greetings and Salutations, my sweet, sweet Hippie friends!

You guys, I am going insane... The last event I went to was a Moe. show down in Richmond right before I moved, two years ago... Yes, two whole years.
I finally get some vacation time this year, and I wanted to know if anything good was coming to my area (I live in Baltimore, but I'll go as far south as VA, and as far north as NJ and PA). Please let me know, my little spirit is screaming out for some hippie fellowship... Thanks, ya'll.

    Love always, Jules ;)

Try the Philly Folk Festival (www.folkfest.org). Unfortunately, I've never been there, but I heard it has a good vibe. Ani DiFranco performed there last year, but I wasn't able to make it there.

If you feel up to it, come on down to NC for Smilefest. The lineup's a killer.
Here's the link to the website: www.smilefest.com.

Thanks for the suggestions... (too bad I can't go to them all).

Philly looks good, as does the Soundquilt... I've gotta check out bus schedules, 'cause I'll be Greyhounding it... Any suggestions on how to get around once I'm in these areas? I'll pay for a cab in Philly, no sweat, but I'm really quite interested in the Soundquilt, and I'm wondering how public transport is out there (cab companies are funny about how far they'll take people out in the country!)

I haven't checked recently to see if it is still scheduled, but out of all the festivals I went to last summer, the Mid-Atlantic Music Festival was easily the best - held in Lewisburg, WV, which is about 3 and half hours from Richmond.
