Hey whats up im pretty new to this forum, i havnt tried the herb yet but im really interested in trying it, i have anxeity disorder and i hear this stuff is amazing for that, people say whenever you get an attack just light one up and your cool, does anyone smoke for this reason?
i dont' have anxiety problems, but when i feel really stressed out and i smoke up, i calm down. it doesn't necessarily get rid of my problems, but it does help.
I have a buddy in cali that is a licensed grower and anxiety disorder is what his docs recomendation was for!
^^^ interesting... i'd love to be able to have a grow liscense..daamn that would kick ass.. i myself suffer from social anxiety disorder and smoking definately releaves it temporarily, but definately doesn't help it overall.. basically i just stay high and i find it usually makes me a little calmer with less anxiety, sometimes in social situations too depending on the sativa/indica ratios. I never think of it as a cure though, and no one should, but it's definately a much better alternative compared to any anxiety releaving pills... and about the lighting up to get rid of anxiety attacks i dont find that useful at all.. if anything weed would trigger attacks.. dont think of it as a cure, just a very nice temporary relief.
I do personally use it to help with my anxiety disorder, my insomnia, and my manic depression... it helps tremendously with anxiety and insomnia.. depression as well but in a differant way. I'm kind of a head case.
I've been told by two shrinks that I smoke to self-medicate for depression. They both said if I was to quit to expect to be on anti-depressents for the rest of my life (YUK). One had the nerve to tell me that to help get off pot, I should go to the local herb store and get some HERBS - they're all natural and have been used for centuries!!!!!!! And pot is..........? LOL.
im sure for most ppl that weed can help. but if your a generally sad person, i wud think that weed could give you either a reeealy shit down-time, or perhaps jsut make you sad when u take it. but meh, yu never know if you dont try.
i have anxiety and im a manic depressive with aspergers.i dont agree with puffing anytime you get anxious or depressed. i got withdrawl because of that. i got dependent on it(kinda). im not lying either! but if your having a panic attack its a good idea. but people should learn how to control it without artifical means. then ocne they have that down and they only do it once in a while when they are really stressed then go for it

Lol smoking GIVES me anxiety. I think draws a great medicine and can help so many people, just fucking legalise it you wanker polititions .
I Suffer from the Dreaded Anxiety aswell and have smoked for year's..i wouldn't use it as a way to Get away from your Anxiety though ,it can make it worse ,i've had some horrible "Fear" sessions as you call them when i smoked sometimes...Anxiety disorder is Beatable ,you just need to face it and realise that it's just a cycle of Fear that can be broken ,its not easy and take's time ,but the hardest part is facing it..Good luck!..and remember ,Weed is not a solution for your anxiety ,just a Crutch when you need it ,dont depend on it, depend on yourself ,Your strong enough ,it's all in the perspective.
