I've been taking suboxone for 2 years, And I must say. This pill is better than any opiate that has ever been created. It has to be even better than pure opium itself. Suboxone is 50 times more powerful than morphine. I was just wondering what you guys thought about suboxone. I was just wondering how it worked out for you all.:sunny:
Are you saying recreationally? If so, you're a complete douchebag. Just saying. Although I thought it was some sort of analog that BLOCKED other opiates? that is, can you OD? I thought it was a treatment for standard opiate OD.
no. Not abuse it. It's impossible to abuse it. I'm talking about for actual opiate treatment? Cause I had the choice to take suboxone or methadone and I chose suboxone.
been on it for 2 months, saved my life, and helped me get back to actually enjoying drugs again... I mean I robbed people, had the worst withdrawals of my life, had lost everything i owned and was a complete mess before this subs shit... now once or twice a month I binge hardcore for like 2 days without ever losing control, and have no need to feel like I gotta have shit everyday cuz of the subs... they worked out awesome for me and I'm slowly rebuilding my life again...
Its not impossible to abuse. I do know people that use suboxone recreationally. It is a very mellow high, but high nontheless.
Now I know thats not true. Sounds like a much much better choice than methadone, however. Methadone is bad news. As for anyone who robbed people for drugs... well, it's a shame they didn't put one between your eyes. There's things that merit robbing, and self induced withdrawls are not one of them.
You can snort or shoot subutex. But not suboxone. Because it has buprenorphine in it that prevents you from getting high unless you take it under your tongue.. Trust me i've tried everything. You can read about it on erowid. It's under buprenorphine
I'd have to disagree with you there.. Withdrawals can just about kill you if your not careful. Especially benzos. I once seen a guy have 3 seizures in one week while he was coming off of them. Not some pretty stuff.
i believe you are wrong. I have taken both subutex and suboxone by snorting amounts of 8mg pills. I have gotten very high. You can snort both. If you were talking about shooting. That i believe IS different so as my friend above said, look that shit up.
I think I would know i've been taking it for 2 years? You really don't want to get me started on suboxone. You want to know the history? How about the chemistry? Take your pick man. You can't lie to me. You might can lie to everyone else because they don't know about it.. :iamwithstupid: Not to mention my doctor is the only doctor within a 100 mile radius that prescribes it and he has actually STUDIED it. I got all my knowledge from him. And from taking it so long. You might want to take a look at one my reports on erowid if you haven't already...
You clearly need to re-read my post. If you rob because of self induced withdrawls, you deserve to die, according to my previous post. I could care less if you die because of the withdrawls if you'd ever consider robbing me, and i would do my best to help the withdrawls along with that killing. I hate many of those who steal, but stealing from and robbing someone are on totally different levels. We're talking about opiates, the withdrawl from which will almost certanially not kill you, even if you'd wish they did. Not benzo's. Yes OP, tell us about the chemistry. The title of this thread asks who's "tried" suboxone, so yeah, you're a recreational user.
First off, you have obviously never had withdrawals before so i'm just going to leave it at that. Second of all, I'm not trying to say withdrawals are a good reason to rob someone. I'm just saying withdrawals are that bad. Withdrawals can turn a high school principal into a bank robbing thief. Third of all, Go here to read about the Chemistry. Although some of it is not right, it's still pretty accurate. I'll have to make some changes to it when I have time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suboxone
I am starting Suboxone therapy mid-December and I am really looking forward to it. The prospect of not being obsessed with opioids, but still having opioid receptor stimulation, is a good one.
I take Suboxone, have been on it for at least 6 months I guess. I took Methadone for a year and a half and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. Suboxone > Methadone
If anyone has experience with Suboxone, can you share your experiences? I am a moderate "pill-head", so I am not dealing with full blown IV Heroin addiction or even a very high Oxycodone-type of addiction. 1. Will my physical cravings be eliminated? 2. Will my mental cravings be diminished enough that I don't want to commit suicide? 3. Does the medicine always feel roughly the same intensity? That is, are there peaks and troughs like other opioids? 4. Are you extremely tired all of the time? Any other advice would be great. I am nervous but excited to get off those damned pills in this new treatment.
I was tired a lot when I first started taking it... now I just feel normal. Physical cravings are eliminated almost immediately. I would suggest trying to switch to Suboxone and ween yourself off after just 3 weeks or shorter if you can. There are withdrawals from Suboxone as well.
Suboxone has been a big help in recovery. It is not a magic fix to opiate addiction but it does help tame the wild opiate beast within oneself. I have some days worse than the first couple weeks i committed to the program. I was doing really well until my final court date started to creep up....and i would have to be on intense probation for a year starting jan 10th. So its been really hard to try to walk the straight and narrow while knowing in a month ill be forced to regardless of my choice. Its so much easier to stay clean when its your choice and you want too. Not some basterd who doesnt give two shits about you making you pee in a cup.
Then how can you possibly compared it to opium at all? Actually buprenorphine is an partial antagonist its the naloxone that prevents you from getting high from it. Suboxone has nothing to do with benzo withdraw, and opiate withdraw cannot kill you, regardless of what your doctor told you. 1. You physical craving will be gone 2. your mental craving will be diminshed slightly, you won't want to die. 3&4. i never experienced peaks it takes a couple days to get used to then you won't even notice your on it. Advice - don't go to one of those suboxone doctors and pay out the ass, there are free clinics, and don't stay on it for more than 5 days unless you feel you absolutely have to.
