Anyone else here had the snip? What differences have you noticed since?

I had the snip back in 2009 after wanting to have it done for some time, but not doing anything about it. My wife couldn't take the pill, so it was condoms for us all the way through till finally I took the plunge in March 2009 and spent the £200 it cost at the time.

The procedure was done by a woman who was very good. I felt only a slight sting when the first injection went in, and after that I was numb. She proceeded to open me up, cut the vas deferens tubes, and then cauterise the ends that were attached to the prostate, while leaving the other ends of both tubes open, so that they could let the sperm out into the ball sac and swim around till they died. She also removed about an inch of tube from each one, to help ensure that the tubes couldn't reattach on their own at any time.

Since then I've noticed only a slight difference in the volume I ejaculate, but it still looks the same, smells the same, and is the same consistency (some fairly liquid and clear, but with yellowish lumpy bits in it as well).

It has made a huge difference to both me and the missus knowing that I'm firing blanks every time, and it definitely took away any fears of pregnancy once I got the all-clear from the clinic.

For us it's meant that we don't need to even think about stopping while in the process of getting passionate, and as a result sex has been much more spontaneous than it ever was before, so I just wondered what other men's experience has been, i.e. positive or negative?

 

Got the snip 35 years ago. Best thing I ever did for my wife and I had no problems with it. Sex has always been great.

 

Had my snipped at 30 and don’t regret it! Although had a bit of complication..blood clot size of tennis ball and painful for just over a week. Never do this on a Monday or Friday. Doc in a hurry!

Painful for me at the time but definitely no regrets!
Especially once on my own and having sex with my fwb. The look on her face when she knew I was unable to get her pregnant and rode me after removing the condom was priceless.

 

Had it done at 30 and absolutely no regrets...the knowing that i could not get her pregnant again was such a relief for my wife and certainly improved things

 

Did it over 10 years ago. It was worse for me than almost everyone I’ve ever heard speak or write about it. Of course the procedure was relatively quick and almost painless.

I was black and blue and swollen for about three weeks. Then there was an ache that varied from dull to sharp for about 4 months. Then lingering flair ups of aching and occasional swelling for a few months after that. It seemed I was a bit of an over-producer according to the doc who did it. Based on the samples every 4-6 weeks, he was unable to give me the all clear to go without protection until about the 6 month mark.

 

Yes, 44 years ago. The big difference is less children running around. Hence, less grandchildren running around.

 

I think I climax with slightly less load. I would encourage any man thinking about it to consider it

Once I was snipped sex frequency increased because the chance of getting pregnant was gone, so it was nice.
I noticed no significant difference in my amount of cum, so it was all good for me.

 

After 20 years sexually active I had to have a circ. Although I think my cock was more attractive before there isn't much difference except that the glans is too sensitive to be touched directly

 

Interesting! When I was in my 20's I went out with a girl who told me that Jewish women almost never got cancer of the cervix or vagina. She put this down to the fact that all Jewish men are circumcised. So after she told me that I pulled my foreskin back and kept it back. My glans was very sensitive for the first few weeks, but gradually it became less sensitive over time.

Now I'm in my 70's and my foreskin has shrunk to a certain degree. I can still pull it forward over my glans, but if I don't try to keep it there it just shrinks back behind it again of its own accord. Furthermore, when I was younger I could keep my foreskin over my glans even with an erection, but nowadays I find that as soon as I get any kind of tumescence the skin will just shrink back off the glans all on its own.

 

I got snipped many years ago and never noticed any difference in cum volume. I’ve always produced large loads requiring several swallows.
