I´m currently thinking of visiting the world congress on LSD in Basel (Switzerland) from Jan. 13th to 15th 2006. The congress is organized to celebrate the 100th birthday of Albert Hoffmann, "inventor" of LSD-25.
Drug researchers from all over the world will be there, among them also the Shulgins, Dr. John Beresford, Dr.F.X.Vollenweider, Dr. Andrew Sewell, Dr. Mark Geyer, Dr. John Halpern, the "Erowid"-makers and also many drug-artists. So it´s the créme-de-la-créme there, I think there´ll be no chance for many, many years to have them all together in one spot again! (if ever...) And they´ll show the largest collection of acid-blotters in the world...
    (More info under www.lsd.info.)

Sounds like a really interesting and funny happening. Anybody of you folks planning to come too?

And besides: Switzerland has - spare the Netherlands - the most liberal drug laws in Europe. Should be easy to have some real fun there! (Cannabis is semi-legal there and lots of RCs are available in smartshops.) :X

Oh, come on folks, no replies on this thread?
This symposium could really be a big chance for the hip-forums-RC-lovers to come together (on neutral territory) and have a party. :H
I could understand, if the Americans wouldn´t want to come, because it´s too far away (but not too far for the really interested...), but I always thought we have many Europeans around here...

I forgot that I´m almost a grandpa in this forums... ;)
But I can remember some posts from people older than 30, even older than 40, right here in the "psychedelics" section... where are you, seniors?

I´ve just sent an inquiry to the organization team, if they would allow audio or video recordings for private purposes...
Maybe I can give you a daily update every evening right here on hipforums about the topics of the day... maybe we could create a special subforum for that... any Mod around here, who could help me with that idea?

I would love to be there, but i have a grant deadline on the 13th, and we are reorganizing the company immediately thereafter. I hate to miss such a gathering.

For all those who´ll miss this event I can offer the following:

On the afternoon of the first day, there´ll be a question time "Ask the Shulgins". So if you have questions, you always wanted to be answered by Ann and Sasha, PM them to me, I´ll try and ask them and publish the answers here.

man, i'd love to, but i can't think of any questions to ask THEM....plenty of questions, but none that i'd need to go to them for...so i'll save question time for people at least a LITTLE more on their level.

O.K., folks, last chance to send your questions for the Shulgins. Any question that reaches me by 11 a.m. Thursday morning (Central European Time, that´s 5 a.m. East Coast Time) will make its way to Switzerland. If I get the chance to ask Ann and Sasha, I´ll post the answers here next week.
