Okay I really want to know if there is any way to get veggie marshmellows and nougat. I miss them so much! I've been a vegetarian for 6 years and I really want nougat. mmm! nougat! mmm....:& sorry. Can anyone help me? Peace.
Check out Peta's website...they list vegan grub and Im almost positive I saw veg friendly marshmellows. i think its also in the catalog...... or google "vegan marshmellows" and see what comes up~
the veggieboards have a marsahmallow ad on top right now. THey come and go. what is nougat made of? I bet it's somehow veganizable (not a word, but what the hey)
Nah, not really. Still, a hen's menstural byproduct. Hmm none too appealing, and ther are plenty of ethical issues around them (treatment of hens, disposing of unwanted males etc). Figure gelatine is a bigger problem though, or at least more likely to be objected to (by vegetarians and vegans). Being made from animal bones and all.
its a split-hairs level. IG, I'm at the point that I know my diet is reasonably healthy, on par with or above the average middlingly aware omni, so I decided that I could not spiritually and ethically contirbute to slaughter & the tales of crushed male chicks (hey it's sexist, it could be your new cause ;P ) made me decide eggs were not for me in any form that can be avoided. that said, my flu shot was albumen-grown. "Avoided" is the key word. I read labels, often after the item is home, and whatever I can get a sub for that works, I do. I'll leave all the steak for you. Plus, you NEED the jacket.
I have no idea if this recipe is any good or not, but I found this on-line: 1 cup Karo, Red Label 2 cups granulated sugar 1/3 cup water 2 egg whites 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/3 cup candied cherries cut fine ½ cup chopped almonds You could maybe sub the egg whites with Ener-G if you're Vegan?
yeas, he rides. that is a logical place to use leather. pleather shreds so you a) damage the environment by using oil-derived plastics and b) still wind up with nasty road rash or worse. and don't post some peta blather. I've heard it all.
