I've been listening to a lot of fusion as of late and I love the sax. I wanna learn how to play so bad! How hard is it to learn? Make general comments and than rate from 1-10. I am really interested! How much does a good sax cost?

There are many different types of Sax, the Two Main are Alto And Tenor, theres also the Oboe and Clarinet (Kenny G punk ass Bicth Shit)

Ive tried my hand at the ever so Gigantic of the Tenor Sax, Its very difficult to learn first hand, unless you get tutoring than it will take years of practice to be able to play at least moderatly good. The keys are hard to remember and the combinations are just as hard to memerize, and its weight and size can be distracting unless you got a neck brace, prepare to hurt.....The Alto is the smaller more cuter version of the sax and produces a higher sound than the tenor, its the easist sax to play for a beginer, the keys and combinations are easy to remember but limited if you cant control the air from your lungs at just the right pressure to produce certian notes. even if you want to play the sax problems with your hands can produce a flat sound, long nails, stubby or too long fingers can kill a sax's sound.

    otherwise enjoy:)

I play the sax. I have an alto (i'm not that big so and alt is perfect for me) i love it too. it isn't very hard to learn. but you really need a strong breath to play it.

indeed enjoy and hey, ifyou really want to learn, you can....

I play the soprano sax, a beautiful instrument. It's great, but pretty hard to learn without lessons..
