I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but it is a pharmaceutical question, so I figured this would be the best place. I'm trying to find a good anxiety pill to actually relieve my problems. They took me off my Kpins because they didn't want me to become "addicted" to them, they worked really well, but I know if I ask for them again he's just going to think I'm addicted to them. So they but me on Gabapentin which I'm taking 600 mg three times a day but it is doing absolutely nothing for me. I've put together a list of anxiety drugs that I have found on the internet and did a little research about, but most of them are habit forming or addictive or mainly for depression, but I'm already on welbutrin for that. So I'm really just wondering what would be a good one that would possibly work for that I could ask for without him thinking I'm just trying to get high, I pretty much knocked xanax, kpins, valium off the list. Although my experience with xanax and kpins have been completely great, they just make me feel like there's nothing to worry about and everything is chill. So what scripts might you suggest? Possibly ativan or something similar?
If you can't get xanax, klonopin, or valium, you won't be able to get ativan either. They're all benzodiazepines and they all have basically the same risk of addiction.
Well that's just crap... Maybe I'll just force him to give me back the good stuff, I also read about this like dissolving tab of kpins that are used directly for anxiety attacks, and they work in like ten minutes... I read it some where it may be false I'm not sure but it sounds more like the stuff I need cause it's for a use as needed basis which is really all I need.
Nah, if it's clonazepam(klonopin), then there is no way that it only lasts for 10 minutes. Clonazepam is one of the longest lasting benzos that is so widely available. You can try to get another prescription, whether it be for kpin or another benzo. If you can't get it, then you can't get it, but it's worth a shot if that's what works for you. If your current doctor won't give it to you, then try another doctor. Just explain to your doctor that it is the only thing that has ever worked for you and that, if it ends up getting out of hand, you will allow him to slowly wean you off of it.
You may want to look into vistaril(hydroxyzine) as well. It didn't work for me, but it works wonders for lots of other people.
I have sever anxiet and the only thing that works for me is a heavy does of benzos, which sucks bc now that i moved to a new aread and doctors are refusing to renew my script even though I have my past medical history and have been on this same dose fore over a year.
