So my mom was digging in the attic and she came across a bunch of stuff she got in grade school, like broachers, magazines, comics etc. She showed me this one drug one she got, I though it was great lol. She got this in 1973, enjoy it (I didn't post some pages, some of them are boring, you can see the whole thing elswhere, theres a site that has the full thing posted).
haha.. i thought this was gonna be a thread about some DVD your mom gave you with a comic that did nothing but anti-drug jokes.. in a funny yet.. brain washing manner
nice. why did they classify marijuana with LSD in the hallucinogen section? surely they must know it's no where near LSD in hallucinogenic effects. then they just say hallucinogens can cause flashbacks, causing anyone to think that marijuana will cause flashbacks. anyway i enjoyed reading this. it was hilarious actually. that lsd picture made me laugh so hard
LMFAO. Thats hillarious the text comes across as impartial while all the pictures show these scary drug dealers with guns. lol.
I love how in the last pictures, the two roads to choose are proper drug use and drug abuse... like NOT using drugs isn't even an option haha. Those are fantastic, thanks for sharing.
actually, im amazed how correct and "scientifically" that was made. Its really much better than the propaganda today... actually, im pretty sure ganga is a hallucinogen. Presumably you can halluinate at high doses of certain strains
i love thiss proper drug use leads to self confidence, security and self respect. haha that made me laugh out loud, esp since (like the girl 2 above said) 'not taking drugs' just wasn't an option apparently. also I thought it was funny how the heroin add said nothing about HIV/aids, showing how old these articles really are (before the aids epidemic)
Correct? Scientifically? haha yea they sure knew what they were talking about when they claimed that LSD causes permanent chromosone damage and results in birth deffects, as well as damage (in the phsyical sense) to the human brain. Doesnt get much more accurate than that
thats why i put scintifically in quotes. compared with todays anti-drug propaganda, and especially that of the 60-80's, this comic is actually quite balanced in its position.
