Aside from the anger here.. I have a good point. Every time someone says Cobain why do you feel the need jump in? Every fucking time....

Edit: This is not targeted to any individual. I've been dealing with this same thing for years now, and I finally had enough.

Kurt Cobain isn't recognized for being a musician, imo. He's more recognized for being a lyricist. His words and the emotion in his delivery is what made him a legend.

 

Rolling Stone Disagrees. He made #12 in their top 100 guitarists list.

 

Well, I don't think he was much of a guitarist, but what do I know:tongue: I respect the hell out of his lyrics though. I also can't get over the amount of pain/emotion in his voice either.

I wouldn't have such a problem with Kurt Cobain had he not had as much popularity because he died. His music was alright, but people just have to believe it's cool to like him

plus I personally believe Alice In Chains are quite easily the better group, and Lane Staley is dead and the masses don't give quite as big a shit. He was the bigger loss to grunge I think.

But, as I said, I liked some Nirvana's stuff.

The reason people get so annoyed about Kurt Cobain is he got ridiculously more popular after he was dead despite having very limited talent, and most of the people our age that know him only do because committing suicide made him legendary.

 

This is what I mean by people acting like fags everytime someone mentions nirvana.
