UPDATE 8/8: Anonymous Hacks Syrian Ministry of Defense Website! The hacker group Anonymous has claimed credit for hacking into 70 U.S. law enforcement websites and posted data stolen from them. They posted up emails, credit card numbers, pictures, tips to police and more. They say it is in retaliation for the arrests and prosecutions of Anonymous members in the US and UK. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/06/anonymous-hacks-us_n_920293.html?ir=Technology
Some innocent people's information is being tossed about...sad. But I love the fact that Anonymous is actually doing something.
I quite like this one, too: http://www.itproportal.com/2011/06/...s-leak-targets-peruvian-special-police-group/ lol @ That police officer getting sent pictures of teenage girls in their swimsuits for an "investigation"!!! Yeah, I'm sure he'll be investigating those pictuers when he gets half an hour to himself in the office.
this made me smile a little inside after just reading about a bunch of ways to work around the 'Protect-IP' bill lol keep it up anonymous!
I kind of like what anonymous does and stands for but sometimes I think they go about it the wrong way or if not the wrong way they go a little bit over board.
^^^ if you mean the inconvenience, danger even, better that than the alternative... unfortunately it does fuck with people that i'm sure none of us want it to fuck with, but what is at stake here is far more important because, ultimately, what it strives for is right and hopefully, in time it could come to effect so many millions of peoples lives in a positive way... could well be part of the change... an awesome tool...
UPDATE 8/8: Anonymous Hacks Syrian Ministry of Defense Website! Apparently Anonymous is getting universal praise for this hack. Maybe this can convince many who want to "get them" that their motives are good. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/...-hacked-anonymous_n_920733.html?ir=Technology
OMG.... They don't know what they're doing with this one... Targeting Syria and Iran... The last countries in the resistance against the red, white and blue dick that wants to arse-fuck the world. They are buying the bullshit of the mass media. They need to know what's really going on before they do this... They could easily trigger more oppression and violence through this. Though perhaps they could change the course of the "uprising" to a clearer, fairer and more just target. I don't think they know what's really going on in that country.
Syria and Iran shouldn't be lauded due to their opposition to the US. What their gov'ts have done to their own people have not been anything to cheer about. They are good targets for Anonymous, and I for one am glad they are going more political now. And Syria is a good target that will gain them more support from those on the fence as to Anonymous' intentions. Anonymous is BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE. Often this means they are against the repressive governments, wherever they may be. BTW, I very pleased to see that the repressive Assad regime's websites were hackable. That means they are not undefeatable, and now the Syrian people (with Internet access) know it too.
Geepers, Batman. Is nothing sacred? Perhaps not, Robin. I'm wondering how Chief O'Hara is holding up?
