Anonymous Could Use Your Help in Finding Xenu (No Joke)

Greetings all, it's been a while since I've been to the Hip Forums but that's mostly because I've been very busy.

Last time I was here was when Anonymous' website was hacked and Chanology briefly moved to the Hip Forums in which Skip was very helpfull.

In any case, I did a search of the forums to find the perfect place to make this request but perhaps I should have used a different search term then "Aliens".

In any case, I started a project along with Anonymous which is basically a publicity stunt to bring the spotlight of the Press back onto Scientology and frankly I could use your guys help.

The project is basically this, we are using SETI @HOME (which is a SETI volunteer type thing) that allows people to download a bit of software from Berkley university and help them analyze the info that they record with their radio telescopes in an effort to find Alien intelligent life.

The reason I say this is a bit of a publicity stunt is because as soon as we reach a minimum of 50 people on our SETI team we are going to send out press releases to the media that will say something like "In the spirit of brotherhood, The Internet Group Known as Anonymous" are using the SETI network in an attempt to help the Church of Scientology locate the intergalactic overlord, Xenu"...

This is just a sample idea and the final press release will be far more polished.

In any case, we have 40 Anonymous team members just hauling ass through the workload alloted to our team and thus we are one of the fastest growing teams on the network. In less than a week we managed to get 50,000 credits.

If anyone would be interested in getting involved and helping us, all you would need to do is go to the SETI@HOME website which is located at http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/index.php (The link will take you to the Berkley University SETI website.

You download a piece of software that runs on your computer when it is idle and it crunches the data that the SETI group record.

Once you install the software you would need to attatch yourself to a project which is SETI@home and then join our team.

I don't know if this project will continue once we get the media's attention but given the amount of fun our team members seem to be having, I would guess that many of the team members will continue beyond the PR phase.

assuredly something more gratifying and beneficial could be done with the potentialities of 50 people then what amounts to hoaxing some other organized group of crazies?

now there is an interesting PLACE called xendu, on some world other then this earth. i forget which or where.
