My sister married a guy 33 years older than her but she was older mid twentys , I tried everything for her not to marry him kept having nose bleeds, even had one when she walked down the aisle. It worked out ok they got divorced years later but lasted longer than most of her friends relationships and he turned out ok . so I thought like you when I was 19, people do their stuff and the world turns. I think they may be joking but wouldnt bother me 16 is young for any kind of relationship but from my perspective so is 26 for guys I may be biased but I think guys start growing up in their early thirtys (if at all )
i dont think i can post objectively on this discussion my first "proper" boyfriend was 13 years my senior and there was someone who was 22 years older.... the age gap didnt mean anything as it wasnt a case of an old guy and his sexy younger bird (i dont fit i *that* catagory hahaha!) its just that i get on sooooooo much better with older guys as a rule, as johnny says, they tend to take longer to grow up!
