Animated avatars. I had this idea years ago, but all I could figure out was blinking eyes and moving mouths (and trust me, the moving mouths were fricking crap, thank goodness no examples of those survived). Animated avatars probably aren't a good idea, since they're a little on the large size and seem to be a bit of a distraction. But hey ho, I was bored . I tried the blinking idea on Sal's avatar just now, but thought I could do something more creative with the evil psychic one. Five minutes and nine kilobytes later...
