This may be a silly and childish question, but what happens to animals when they die?

I wish that our dear pets that we love so much could go to heaven...

My dog recently died and I would like to think she has some special place to go. What do you think?

God loves all of his creatures, he would not simply destroy certain ones. Since animals do not worship Satan, since they can not be evil, i do not see hwo they could not go to heaven. I'm sure he wants all of his creatures to be with him.

So wait... animals go to heaven? What about viruses, insects, and clones? How about people with mental disorders? What about people who truly believe they're righteous, even though most others believe they're evil? I'm just curious...

If animals do indeed have souls then to kill them for food would seem to be quite bad. Not that I am a vegitarian.

There is also the question of where to draw the line - do viruses have a soul - do prions? Or goldfish even?

i don't think they go to heaven, i think they are here on earth to be a blessing to us for companionship, food, helpers, ect...but they can not make a spiritual decision to accept Christ so I don't see how they go to heaven. I believe there will be heavenly animals, like we have never dreamed of, as well as some very similar to earthly animals. God did say that the lion will lay down with the lamb in total peace, and a child shall lead them.

The first is BOLD assumption. The second is a foolish euphemism. No animal has ever "given" its life to mankind.

Well... it's hard to formulate a response to that...

Also, if I take your money, have you given it to me? According to you, yes.

I don't think that's childish. I believe there's a place where the souls of animals go... They're so pure, there must be a heaven for them!
