that's kind of a nonsequiter. there could be lots of reasons, but that's neither here nor there.

point is, there ain't no such thing as BEING good or bad, only of avoiding causing harm and suffering, or being indefferent to doing so.

as for other people, what is important isn't what they think of you, other then in a sociopolitical survival sense of the need to avoid creating enimies, but how much or how little suffering and harm, you cause or are able to avoid causing, to them.

themnax for one, is far less interested in what people think of himself as a person, then in the kind of world thy REALLY want to live in, and in how well they are or are not able to see and understand the connection between their priorities, and the kind of incentives everyone's priorities togather create, which are in turn, the proximate cause of the conditions each of us, individualy and togather, have to live in.
