    Paintdrops
    By Silent Lucidity

Taken away from my drab reality

I travel to the land of paintdrops

    Closer than expected

For it lies within my imagination

    I see colors everywhere

    From vibrant to fair

    It excites me to see

    Such sharpened hues and shades

    The color sings to me

    A soft, mellow melody

    Deepened to a baritone

    As they darken

    I taste the brightness

As if it were a ripe fruit

it fills me with a light

    Nutrition for my soul

    The land of paintdrops

A haven from this ocean of gray

I look forward to the colors

And the warmth they present to me

Heavily has it dropped last night
    Fresh is the air
    Was I sad
    Who's chirping there
    Not bad
For the colorful is the ground
And it will make you a picturesque life
