an idea for april 20 - 4:20

bomb cop cars with green paint grenades on 4:20. do it from up above so they would never know where it came from. if enough people do this all over north america it would send a big message. stop wasting money on the drug war before we waste more money. it would be all over the news and the more cities that it happened in the better.

i know it doesnt seem to peaceful but it is non-violent which is a lot more then i can say about the cops and their approach.

what do you think?

That doesn't send any kind of a message. In fact, it's downright obnoxious. If marijuana users want to prove their worth, all they have to do is collectively rise above the policies that they oppose, and the proponents of those policies. Provided that the former is illogical and the latter is more or less corrupt, doing as much is entirely possible. Besides, even if no policies were overturned, at least something good would come out of it (i.e. a slightly better community, as opposed to one that is slightly more filthy).

Oh yeah, and vandalizing a squad car will land you in a Federal prison.

how long are we going to sit there while the police raid our houses and home businesses putting fathers and mothers in jail or in the grave for growing a plant?

a few squad cars is a small price to pay and sends a message. if we could organize so that 100s of cities do it together we would send a better message.

if you used normal green paint in a balloon, and only bombed cars that were stationary.- even if you did get caught they couldnt do much.

nobody gets hurt. and they could just wash the paint off before it dried.

Listen, I'd love to do a lot of things to cops and whatnot to send a message, but you have to think logically. Vandalism will just make marijuana users look like simpletons and criminals. The idea is just bad...

 

Is that right? Would you be any more likely to support child porn if passive (i.e. non-assertive, non-violent) pedophiles threw paint at those piggish police who raid their homes and seize their hard drives? Afterall, what they're doing isn't directly hurting anyone (is it really their fault if some people closer to the source of the contraband get hurt?). My point: no one would ever cease to reconsider what they find disgusting based on a completely random act of mischief.

And what do police have to have to do with the legalization of marijuana, anyway? They're just doing their job; they're not policy-makers.

But whatever: if you want green paint splattered all over your community in an attempt to frustrate police who, believe it or not, do actually serve a purpose, then be my guest. Just beware that if you act like a 10-year old you probably won't be treated much better than someone who is 6.

How is what I said blown out of proportion? The part you quoted is more or less exactly what you intend to do: make a mess at the expense of police in a completely idiotic attempt to make them realize that they should join you, all the while completely ignoring the fact that they have nothing to do with the actual laws that they uphold.

You're destroying a poilce car, risk of being arrested.

You're giving pot users a bad name by usuing Green Paint on 4:20

You're making a mess of public property (those taxes you pay... to towards the road/cars you'll be making a mess of)

You're dissrespecting people who risk their lives to keep people like you and your family safe.

As for cops messing up familys how? Because they arrested you for doing something stupid? Your wife got smart and walked out on you?
