amybird's dreads @ 9 months

Back by popular demand Just done some quick pics. Will add some more later but here's one for now. My dreads turned 9 months old yesterday

I was in the market this morning and saw this girl with the most beautiful hair, like Pantene commercial beautiful, I had a twinge of regret and missing my old hair. No longer..thanks for such great inspiration!!!!

 

No official photography skillz here I'm afraid, but thanks for the compliment!

Here's a more "informative" shot... you can see I didn't have enough dye. There was only just enough to do the bleached dreads, and the rest just had to stay as they were. Damn sponges!

 

Looking good amy. How many packs of dye did you have to use?

 

Well I only used one, hence running out lol One used to be enough for my whole head, now it does less than half! Stupid bloody hairdo

Yeh I think it's ok too really, so I'm not that fussed

The front bits are just about long enough for me to tuck behind my ears now, though they don't really stay in place, which is bugging. I swear the next 2 inches of growth is gonna make so much difference



Just realised, my skin has improved a lot since the waxy days, which caused a fuckload of blocked pores. I think using the baking soda deep clean is keeping them even cleaner so they aren't getting crap on my skin. In these pics, I haven't even got round to having a wash yet, and I didn't have to photoshop out a bunch of spots like I usually do since I don't wear makeup

i hear you on the dye... My hair took two full boxes to go brunette.... and still it was scary....almost no enough.....

 

Need to build up a nice waxy core so they aren't so absorbent! hahaha

is that actually your eye colour? its spectacular. my eyes are green too, but more goldy and less vibrant.
oh and the dreads look amazing too

 

Thanks Umm..think my eyes just vary with the light. They look yellowy brown in some lights and quite green in others. I do put all my pics through Photoshop, but it doesn't usually make much difference to my eyes, so I think it's mostly the light, plus I know the pink hair has something to do with it



Grr..I know the multiple lengths will look ok when they're all longer, but right now they mostly look dumb meh
