What we did here in taking over this land is no different then any other civilization throughout the history of mankind. The less advanced civilization is pushed aside for the more advanced one. Get over it. It's the natural course of things.

I think few would argue that the handling of the American Indians could have been done better.

But, one advanced civilization pushing out the less advanced is inevitable. When this happens it's inately violent. Hopefully, man learns from history and handles each time with more thought and compassion then the previous time.
Should i apologize for what happened to the indians a couple of centuries ago? No. I wasn't even born then. But, we are all responsible for the treatment of those less fortunate in our own time.
