American Hypocrisy

We indignantly claim moral superiority over other nations. How is this possible?

We have imprisoned more people than any other nation in the world.
We have shit on the poor veterans that we used as pawns to serve us.
We are full of racist, and hate filled people, people who hate others simply over their appearance.
We have imprisoned millions upon millions, simply for using a benelovent herb.
We have quite, quite low standards of living for such a 'developed' nation. (Last time I checked, it was the 8th highest among the developed nations of the world)

I really don't know how anyone can claim moral superiority. I say this- take care of our own problems first, before making an ass and a hypocrite out of everything this country stands for.

 

Yeah, we should definately work on our own problems, before we go meddling with other countries...

I pretty much agree. We should indeed take care of our own problems before we even think of trying to tell other countries how to deal with theirs. Like you said, it's very hypocritical of us. And we usually end up screwing things up again anyway....Ugh. Our gov't is all kinds of retarded.

With all the money spent screwing around elsewhere in the world, think what could be accomplished here....

 

Yeah, and think about what we could accomplish there too through humanitarian means such as bringing food? Think of the wonder that would do? Think of how loved America would be then? But for some odd reason, this possibility hasn't really dawned on too many people.

 

I doubt anything could make america loved... People would find something to hate us for...

 

Yeah, like imagine if we had been the largest provider of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. Maybe then Al Queda wouldn't have plotted to kill us.

Too bad Al queda was created by the CIA, and if we hadn't created them because of our pathetic "domino theory", than Al Queda wouldn't have existed, and then maybe things would have turned out a lot differently...
