I normally have very intense dreams where they do feel very real, sometimes I'll dream that I'm dying or flying and so on. But lately I've been having these really bad pains in my chest. Its only happened twice, but it really hurts. Like it could be a heart attack or something, but when I wake up in the morning I feel fine. Has this ever happened to anyone and how do you make it stop? Should I go to the doctor? Its really freaking me out. Thanks for your advice. Peace :)

I've been told that anxiety and panic attacks can lead to heart attacks, but as long as you feel fine when you wake up you shoudl be fine.

One thing to consider is that it may not be your heart, but it may be muscular; meaning the muscles on your chest and around your throat may be doing odd things in your sleep.

It couldn't hurt to mention to your doctor next time you see one; but unless you start having other symptoms I wouldn't rush to see one.

It might be because of a lack of magnesium.

Also try and take your breath to relax and widen the heart space - visualization sometimes works miracles (and just imagine there is not really anything that can hurt you ... not even pain).

Maybe you also want to put your question in the Health Forum.

    Wishing you well :)

My book says that it is a dream of contrary, that you will lead a long life.

If it is just heartache, it may signify that your deepest wish will be fulfilled.

The ones that scare me are the ones that happen when I'm just sleeping lightly. In other words, pre-REM dreams. When you're asleep your muscles are paralyzed. It's a fact. Sometimes in this light sleep state, I'll try to wake up and I can't. And I can't move a muscle. Eventually I'm able to fight myself awake, but it usually screws up a good night's sleep.
