my dreads had been feeling super dry..even lil stiff and hard i think from blow drying em all the time
last week i tried an acv rince to help soften and condition but it didnt really help alot, maybe cause i blow drieed again
so today after a deep cleanse i put a good bit of aloe..maybe a cup or lil more mixed with a galon of water and a lil bit of rosemary and just dumped it over my dreads without rincing it out (there were a few lil globs that didnt mix well that just clung to the surface of the dread then slowly vannished as they were soaked up or dried up
and then just been letting them air dry
and they have never felt soooo amazing soft light thet just move and hang better and feel so cuddly the aloe feels amazing on my scalp too
feels so incredibly clean soft smooth..just wonderful
i cant even imagine why anyone would preffer stiff and sticky wax
especialy since aloe is so easy just dumor spray it on and forget about it
and ya cant use too much..the only thing too much would do is make em too soft for baby dreads

sorry just been so amazed at how good they feel
is it weird to wanna cuddle your own dreads?

ps wouldnt use as much as i used except to treat severe dryness

i couldnt stand how they felt a few hours ago and now i totaly love how they feel..yay

what helped me most was tthe deep cleanse but no lemon juice, and reduced the teatree and added a good bit of (3-4 tias much as teatree) then when i did the alowe rince added rosemary to that as well

which thing ya having trouble finding..aloe? choices are the plant be sure its aloe VERA AND NOT ANOTHJER ALOE VARIETY or in most health food stores in the refrifdgerated area they have bottles of aloe vera gel ..make sure its 100% aloe no other ingredients
its sold as a food supliment

A whole cup?! Thats a lot of leaves lol. D'you think I could mash up one leaf and massage my scalp with it before washing my dreads? Do I have to wash it out? Or shall I leave it in? Won't it go all manky? xD

Ahh I love my aloe plant, want to find a use for it lol. If it cures my sore scalp then HALLELUJAH

wouldnt mash the leave, split it open scrape out the gel inside
i got a tonof hair and needed a real deep condfitioning so i used alot
ya can massage some in, idf do it after washing tho..and if u wanna rince it out thats fine or i'd 1/2 rince it to just kminda sptesd it and remove any excess
it wont go weird it dries up clear and flexible and will rince riught out next tuime u get em wet..
it made such a huge differencei did prolly go overboard lil bit which could hurt new dreads, id use way less on em..
but as far as conditioners go its the best
feels si good light fdluffy ..theyre much more flexible and sqyueezable too
ithink im going back to air drying again now that its not freezing out too

I love aloe too <3 it is sooo soothing on the scalp. I haven't used it in a while though as sometimes I felt it made my hair look flat, anyone else? I think I may put some on tonight and wash it out in the morn :D my shampoo bar has cocoa butter which makes my dreadlings soo soft. I want to cuddle them too, but they aren't that long yet :(

Naww I didn't mean mash the leaf xD I mash the stuff while its still inside the leaf :) then scoop it out as needed on burns and stuff :)

So how long does it take to dry? How long should I leave it on for? How long does it take to work?

    it dried fairly fast
likei saidthere were lil gel glos here andthere that wernt mixed well and they vannished in no timeit probly wouldfd "work" as in condiion thenm in 5-10 minutes if u then wanted to rince it out but theres no harm in leavung u]it in till next rince/wash.. in baby dreads i wouldnt use it often unless u use lilke just a surface mist to tame frizz and not try to saturate em
