Sounds good but there have been tons of peace treaties signed over the years but all end up being worthless pieces of trash. Just aint going to happen.
Well , although it may seem somewhat forlorn - Hope is that which one must have faith in ... methinks
It would be nice to see an end to wars and have world peace. I don't feel there will ever be a big global turnaround. Contributing love and peace to your own surroundings might be enough to help someone else and realise your own happiness. We are our own worst enemies though.
Well I wouldn't think that relying on those which one has dubious faith in, shows that Hope alone is not the answer - Change comes with Conviction to make a difference - Questioning, Challenging and Commitment to Pro-active results are key aspects. Hope is only the primary step towards, engagement, education before moving onto enlightenment
Whilst it is difficult to do much about things 'Globally', every small step; which one makes locally can contribute to the road we travel upon - methinks
Those with Faith ... in the human spirit, in the ambition of youth, and especially 'in the dreamer', 'for they are not the only one, and in the hope that someday all will join together - And the World will live as one (Please excuse the paraphrase, John )
our greed gets in the way, yours an mine. Until you are ready to give up everything to anyone who wants it, peace will never happen. Maybe living in harmony is a better choice.
I have a peace sign tattoo and a banner is wrapped around it that says 'All you need is Love'... cuz with love comes peace
Is that one of those new pot strains? Seriously, though... As long as it is everybody's reality then that is what will happen. When there is a shift in peoples thinking to forgiveness, love, peace and well being for all, then that is what will happen. You need to change yourself to make this happen, you (I or anybody) can't wait for someone else to do it first. Be the change and change will happen. You have to want it... From your response you apparently don't. .
It's true - anything war can do, peace can do better. Just because something is a large task, that doesn't mean that small steps toward completion don't make a difference. Reminds me of this -originally posted by Annwyn'Bri: http://www.hipforums.com/forum/blog/15/entry-26-the-starfish/
I had not seen that story before. It's great. It's true, something given might seem so small but you don't know how much it means to the recipient.
No matter how hard each of you wishes for peace in the world it still will not make it happen. Could even cross your fingers and toes, close your eyes and wish really hard, still is not going to happen. It is way beyond any average citizen. Its like a runaway freight train. You know its going to crash, just not sure how hard or when.
For someone that claims to have it all figured out because you read some ancient tome with a message of peace and love, you sure have a lot to figure out...
