What are you basing this on?
Telling males that their opinions on abortion don't matter, is exactly like telling a woman that her opinions on circumcision don't matter. And I know plenty of women who have better opinions on circumcision than some men I know, just as I know plenty of men who have better opinions on abortion than some women I know. How about we stop playing the identity politics card, and listen to the point of views of people, and why they hold such values, mmmkay?

I am a die hard advocate for free speech. People who don't know jack about guns are entitled to have a strong passion for gun control. But I would advise that they at least study up on guns and the history of the 2nd amendment, so they won't look like fools as they try and argue their points in the open.

I'm a gun owner and pro second amendment, but I have in many cases seen gun debates where the person arguing on the side of the second amendment would try to trap someone in some mechanical debate about what constitutes an assault riffle. It's argument from authority, which is a logical fallacy.

You don't have to be an expert in guns to understand gun policy, as you don't have to do heroin to understand drug policy.

I mean it may help a little.

That's a classic line from a bigot in denial: "Some of my best friends are..." Your posts speak for themselves. Besides, I really don't think you personally hate Muslims, any more than I think Trump hates them and Hispanics, but both of you are willing to use bigotry to stir up people and win support for your cause--which is much worse. I have a friend who wears a necklace of Confederate flags and uses the N-word a lot , but he voted for Obama, contributed to his campaign and had an Obama sign in his front yard, so I'm willing to make allowances.

As for the "folks like" me trying to silence dissent, that's simply not true. I've made my position on hate speech laws clear. I think the longstanding Supreme court decisions on non-protected speech are reasonable: no incitement to violence, obscenity, defamation, fighting words, false advertising, or crying fire in crowded theaters. As Justice Holmes put it, "few rights are absolute, and speech is not among them".

Why do you say stuff like this? I don't believe you really believe this. What's the point in falsely portraying (people like) Okie are for hatespeech laws primarily in order to silence disserting opinions? Why???

Cross the forum rules deliberately and repeatedly? One of the rules is not to discuss bans or other mod decisions in public threads btw.

I'm confused with your use of the term identity politics when so much of your posts are I am a white male who thinks XYZ which is better. Like what does it mean? In my mind the identity is all of us are human. You seem concerned with dividing and saying this one is man, this one is Muslim.

You are not a women and unqualified to have opinions on female medical procedures. You can think what you want but no matter how much it upsets you it's not your choice. A women matters more here. I think that idea is counter to who you want to be. As someone who hates feminists this upsets you. Women do not know and they make poor choices. Like you mention an issue with circumcision. I think you are upset for the same gender line issue I mention here. Why do women decide what a man does? Do you see what I mean? Circumcision is also a piece of skin it's not really the same moral debate of abortion. No matter if you are pro and anti choice it's not the same thing.

Coincidently a podcast just released an episode on this dynamic.

It's always been weird to me when liberals make fun of people who have friends who are of a certain race, culture, or religion. Why would a bigot want anything to do with people he dislikes, much less make friends with them?

What might be "fighting words" to some, might be petty nonsense to others. Example, passing out leaflets calling God "gay" isn't grounds to justifiably punch someone in the face. Sure it might offend some people. But if it angers anyone that much, I'd suggest anger management classes.

I know Okie's views on it. He and the rest of the Balbus cult drew them out in the Lauren Southern thread (unless he's changed his mind).

Ok, based on this logic, then your personal pro-choice opinions as a man would be worth far less than that of a pro-choice woman's. Just because she's a woman and you're not.

    Absolutely

I can't tell a women what to do. She can make her own choice it's her right. This is why abortion is not mandatory women do have a choice.

You miss the point, which is that bigots often use the claim of token friendships to try to prove they aren't bigots.

Your numerous Islamophobic posts show where your true sentiment lie.
Nice try, but the courts have done a pretty good job of defining fighting words, which are always a judgment call. That's what judges are for. The AltLite twit Lauren Southern went to a group with known sensibilities on the matter and handed out "Allah is gay" pamphlets in obvious hopes of getting a violent reaction. Those are fighting words under the criteria used by U.S. Courts, and were certainly a violation of UK law. Fighting words are not limited to provoking "justifiable" responses.. Speech that is likely io incite an immediate breach of the peace is included. She got what she deserved. The last thing our society needs is a troll like her hiding behind free speech in order to deliberately try to provoke violence.

Tokenization is very common not only for bigots but also for bigoted and far-right organizations as well.

"Tokenism is a process of holding up a few token minority members of an organization, as “proof” that the organization cannot possibly be racist or white supremacist. That is not to say that minority members of an otherwise racist organization are not genuine members– on the contrary, they are held in high standing, often asked to speak at events, and are used in the promotional material of the event, because they provide a cover for the spread of genocidal ideologies. It is a mistake to think that white supremacists are always rational, and that their messaging will always be consistent. Hate is not a rational politics. Simply ask Raul Gonzalez, a hispanic racist skinhead, seen at Joey Gibson’s events. No matter how many times Gibson might invite LGBT speakers to his events, that does not cancel out Joey Gibson accompanying the Street Preachers at Pride to assault members of the LGBT community. No matter how many times Gibson promotes Tiny Toese as a Samoan for Trump, that does not reverse the fact that Allen Wesley Pucket, one of the Street Preachers, has declared himself to be a white nationalist." - Irony, Entryism, and Tokenization: Alt-Right Tools for Hiding in Plain Sight

Just as I suspected. Weaponizing identity to silence and marginalize others.

What doesn't make any sense to me about your stance on this, is that you will surrender your stance on this matter, even if you have the better and more logical opinion. I would side with your pro-choice views over a pro-life woman's belief that a woman who gets impregnated from rape should be forced to carry out the pregnancy. Sometimes the identity of the person doesn't matter, since we see so many people favoring causes that disfavor themselves.

Penn Gillette would call Hitler a good guy? LOL I think my IQ might've dropped 5 points by reading that article.

Yes, contrary to popular belief, you CAN get along with people and have complete disgust in their belief system.

It's not your body. I really don't know this is so upsetting to you. No one is silenced but in the end you can only consent to what goes on with you. Identity does matter when it's the person affected.

Sounds like you expect rights over what someone else does. Not very small goverment of you.

Yes, I know. I get along with plenty of those myself. But I don't proceed to attack the ethnic. racial or religious groups they represent in propaganda screeds and claim my friendships excuse the behavior or refute perceptions of being a bigot. Your point about Penn Gilette and Hitler is obscure.

If babies would grew solely in mens bellies you would want to have the final say on it too without finding it unreasonable.

It's not surrendering your stance, for most men. It's acknowledging its not primarily your decision.
