I'm starting to get withdrawal symptoms and fiending. I don't get paid until thursday so won't be able to buy any booze. What the fuckdo I do until then? Help :bigcry:
I'm Enjoying A Glass Or Ten Of A Very Nice Semillon Sauvigon Blanc, I Feel Your Pain, But Alas There Is Little I Can Do To Ease It, Now If You Will Excuse Me For A Minute, I Need To Top Up My Glass... Cheers Glen.
I actually have a bottle of cologne and I was thinking about it. But I'm not that desperate yet. Yet. I have done a shot of it in the past. :leaving:
I Think Not, He Is A University Student, And As We All Know, A University Student With An Empty Glass, Is A Sad Sight To Behold.. Cheers Glen.
I haven't been at uni since my lungs collapsed at the start of the year. Sadly there is more truth to this thread than I'd like, because being essentially bed-bound since then alcohol has become my dearest companion to get me through the day.
That doesn't sound very healthy, considering your lung problems and the fact that alcohol is a respiratory-depressant.
Easier to give up drinking when you're young? you sure? I only stopped drinking because I got spanked by some mushrooms, and there are definite social consequences for giving up the drink.. at least for a while. But I agree, if you're actually addicted give that shit up But, I also side with Glen, I think he's kidding. I hope so anyway. Are you joking, Mr. Arlandis? We, the serious, need to know this so we can sleep tonight.
He's not kidding. Have you read the thread? Yes it will be easier now. Young bodies deal with addiction recovery better. Although I can admit young minds hate having to try.
Oh right, I thought I'd read it. Apparently not.. Bummer dude, well - mucho amor amigo, or something like that. Good luck with the quits, if that's a target.. better sooner than later at any rate, alcohols a nasty companion. Peace dude.
Yes, it's nasty. Especially during the sobering up periods. Depression hits me hardest then. Better to use pot.
Alcoholism is a horrible path to go down..not trying to sound preachy but as someone who has watched several people suffer and eventually die from alcoholism, you really don't want to go down that path. If you're already physically dependent on it then now is really the time to quit.
