Al-Qaeda message condemns Obama The second-in-command of Islamic militant network al-Qaeda has hit out at US President-elect Barack Obama. In a message purportedly from Ayman al-Zawahiri, the al-Qaeda deputy called Mr Obama a "house negro" - a demeaning term implying he served white people. Mr Obama's plan to bolster the US military presence in Afghanistan would fail, Zawahiri said. If genuine, the message would be the first acknowledgement by al-Qaeda of the president-elect's victory. The audio message appeared on militant websites. Zawahiri, an Egyptian by birth, is often referred to as Osama Bin Laden's right-hand man and the chief ideologue of al-Qaeda. In the short message he warned Mr Obama of failure if he followed Bush administration policies in the Middle East and Afghanistan. He also criticised Mr Obama - whose father is Muslim - for abandoning his Islamic roots. "You were born to a Muslim father, but you chose to stand with the enemies of Muslims," he said. On Sunday, in his first television interview since his 4 November election win, Mr Obama reiterated his commitment to shift more US troops to war-torn Afghanistan. Stamping out al-Qaeda "once and for all" was a top priority, he said, and capturing or killing Osama Bin Laden was "critical" to US security. Story from BBC NEWS:
well I don't know that he will follow Bush's policies. You'd think if they were so bold as to put their shit on video and such...that they'd easily be tracked Suppose that doesn't work well if they are in kahootz with one another though, eh?:toetap05:
This was a huge shock when I heard about this. They'll still be in Iraq and Afghanistan...so, yeah, that'll be following Bush's policies They tend to send it (videos/messages etc) through many different people (one not being GWB), where it then ends up at say, Al-Jeezera, or some other media outlet. If you send a unmarked package through the post, how could it be traced back to the sender?
Obama would go up infinitely in my book if he just walked up to the podium to issue a press release and said: "Least I'm not a sandnigger.".
Oh there are ways... and besides, I meant his exact agenda. He'll have an Obama agenda instead....it will be different though may be the same in some ways
Perhaps the area and perhaps the post box...but the person?... not sure about that... I'll be canceling a few subscriptions if they can. Anyhoo it seems it was posted on a Internet forum. "America, the criminal, trespassing crusader, continues to be the same as ever, so we must continue to harm it in order for it to come to its senses," I don't think they care about nuances.
no knowing their beliefs about those who turn from islam i expected them to order him put to death under sharia law.. after all that is the penalty..
its called apostasy. http://www.cfr.org/publication/8034/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apostasy_in_Islam#Punishment_for_apostasy in their eyes he is the ultimate infidel... nice huh??
Quite interesting. How it would occur is another matter entirely. I noticed other faiths had similar punishments - you learn something new everyday. But: In their eyes the definition of "infidel" and "apostasy" is broad it seems. I wonder why they have not asked for this to occur...perhaps because they have no real legal weight and perhaps their crimes would include the death sentence too...mmm who knows.
or perhaps they know he is actually a muslim hiding behind a veil of christianity with the goal of ultimately invoking islamic law in the united states..
Propaganda stunts like this show they're worried Obama's election, and it's huge, positive reception around the world (except maybe in the Southern U.S.), will jeopardize their recruitment and agenda. They're not stupid. Bush was the best publicity weapon they had. McCain would have been just as good. Now they have to play defense.
why do people keep stereotyping the south? there are hate groups all over the united states.. hell there are more hate groups in new jersey than there are in alabama!! http://www.splcenter.org/intel/map/hate.jsp
looks like the top 3 are not "southern" states to me..no respectable southerner counts florida as part of the south, nothing down there but transplanted yankees.. i guess that explains the number of hate groups there huh? why not look at the big picture? 5 of the top ten(11 there is a tie for seventh) are not even in the south, looks to me that racism and bigotry are not as confined to the south as you'd like to make it out to be..
