Has anybody any thoughts on the situation in Africa? I went to the website yesterday (www.one.org ) and thought the message was pretty cool. I also signed my name on the list. Please give me your comments.
Aids and Africa aren't sexy messages at present. Africa doesn't have a lot to offer the corporate big boys and Aids is looked at as a means to dispose of the less than acceptable members of society.
It's sad to see what's going on in that situation. Hopefully, with enough research on the disease and enough medications delivered to the people some headway can be made in the not too distant future.
I believe that the AIDS epidemic is not caused by peoples moral values, But the exposure to infected blood. Either by used disposable razors in the shower or sharing a tooth brush when you stay the night at your friends house or by the stingers of the biting insects. The stingers have trace amounts of infected blood. That’s the way Malaria is spread too. We need, "insecticides, compassion & condoms". It's just like the bubonic plague (Northern Europe 1500s) It was the fleas, not the witches who caused the disease.
Hey guys i'm from Australia my names Brooke- I have been focusing alot of my time on studying and learning about what happens in other peoples worlds noticing the Earth still turns and people still die and have Aids people cry people kill and more children are born the earth still turns and all that still happens when yuor world seems to be falling. I don't know how i can help without money without a cofident/heard voice is believing and dreaming of a better world a safer place full of love and rainbows sweet tunes a plenty and sunshine brightening each bright smile of every being united with plans of taking the road less travelled healthy humans wiht minds worth exploring. In ours days i want to believe that this new sense of revolution and peace will triumph or is it a world i have instintley i created for myself to feel safe for a sense of hope & security. I wish one day i can have the power to help places like Africa, cambodia,Kenya etc. I have dreams at night where i have landed in a third world country i never know where but i just see the children gathered around waiting to see what will be thrown at them next and i have a cookie jar and walk up to them everyone gets one gently they wait but one small boys misses out and i just dropped to my knees and opened my arms i had noting else i could give but a comforting hug from my heart and knew i meant well he just smiled and said thankyou and goodbye. weird dream but it taught me even when you have nothing else you can still find a place in a desprat heart to forgive & hold no grudges your dealt the hand you have in life for a reason if you couldn't handle it, it would happen i believe anyway. So my point is i do think about there siutation and what i could do to help i don't feel sorry for them because the circle of life has to happen but i pray and dream and put all my positive and loving engery into the sky and hope it finds them i am merely a speck on the earth fighing/dreaming of better place and peaceful free wonderland for our kids to grow healthy and happy in a place where WAR is known to all as useless & everyone world wide belives we originally were once one lets peice it together we can move mountians with words of unity. Ok yes very long winded sorry guys what a way to introduce myself but it's earlt in the morning here and i'm as wide awake as a croc on crack but i have had speed lol These are my thoughts long winded by from my heart i hope you understand the place or level i'm coming from i'm public scholl educated if that means anything he he he he (which by the way i wouldn't have any other way). -I can't ever seem to get my thoughts out verbally right how i see them in my head but could never explain to someone maybe in fear i wouldn't be taken serioulsy or for real but thats why i come on here it lest me be free in a world of judges- This is my new username i have been on here for about 2 years but my old name was WILDREAMER. -Peace Out- Remember to smile and remember where you started & never forget who you are and trust that things can get better if you believe- the moon is always there.
