um i need to quit smoking for about a week because my tolerance is getting too high. i've been having a little trouble. anyone know what i can do to keep my mind off it?
When do you usually smoke? The key to quitting alot of things is taking yourself out of the situation that triggers you to do the habit. For example if you usually smoke at a certain time plan to be doing something else during that time period to take your mind away from it. Also keep your herb out of your possession. What you dont have you cant smoke.
Just keep you stuff locked away, skate if you already do and go for walks and stuff. Hang out with friends who don't smoke too.
Keep in mind that your 'addiction' is pure psychological. Think of how your high makes you feel...what do you love most about it? Takes those qualities and try to heighten them while sober. For example, if you feel especially creative while high, try doing a painting or writing a short story while sober to feel accomplished and creative. If you feel more connected with nature while high, try going for a hike in the woods. If you simply feel more relaxed, try meditating, etc. Good luck
