I'm looking into putting some pickups into my Alvarez. What brands do you reccomend? I don't have enough money right now to buy a small PA and amplify it by a mic, so i'm just going to buy a pickup, ya know. Do you think it's better to put an input jack into the acoustic and all of that or just get a pickup that you can pop into the soundhole and plug into the amp straight form the pickup?
that was my problem. i wanted to mic it but didnt have the $ so i bought a cheap pickup that pops in and out. well... i dont use that pick up anymore. i got on put into the guitar thats perminent and it has an imput jack. i think you should get a bridge pick-up with an imput jack. the birdge pickups evenly amplify the strings more than the other kind -peace
